Villa Benne is a very comfortable farmhouse located in a historical estate that lies in the Euganean Hills National Park, equidistant to the cities of Padua and Vicenza, only 50km west of Venice. This property has belonged to the noble Papafava dei Carraresi family since the 13th century.
Villa Benne can sleep up to 14 guests in 7 spacious double or twin bedrooms, each boasting an en-suite bathroom and ample wardrobe spaces. Every room has air conditioning and there is Wi-Fi throughout the whole house. The interior common areas are spacious and comfortable, including the living room with its big fireplace and the two dining rooms. The professional and fully equipped kitchen with cooking island will inspire aspiring chefs amongst the group and two adjacent dining rooms are perfect for hosting small special occasions.
The huge hall on the first floor will make for a perfect holiday even in the colder season and guests will be fascinated by the unique blend between rural atmosphere and the refined furnishings which reveal part of the family history.
The outdoor areas are fenced. There is a 8m x 16m swimming pool with a large surrounding area equipped with beach chairs and sun umbrellas, ideal for relaxing and sun bathing. The house also has a big garden in front of it and another green area in the back with a well kept flowerbed of herbs and flowers.
Within easy reach of the property are the famous Palladian villas of Veneto and several Cities of Art. The area is also well known for its typical cuisine and good wine.
- The roads in the estate are unlit unpaved and can get a little dusty in the dry heat.
- When the minimum occupancy is booked, certain rooms may not be accessible (this is subject to the owner's discretion) - it is best to check with us before booking if you have any queries about about this.
- The owner has informed us that this property is accessible for wheelchair users on the ground floor but there are no ramps to access the upper floors. Please contact us before booking so we can discuss individual accessibility requirements with the owner to ensure that this property is suited to your specific needs.
- Villa Benne is rural and car hire is highly recommended to drive to the local amenities.
- The pool is enclosed, although the gate through it is not lockable. While this feature provide an additional layer of protection, children must be supervised at all times.

Located in a historical estate the farmhouse has belonged to the same noble family since the 13th century and has the rural credentials of a setting within the Euganean Hills National Park – indeed, a glimpse of volcanic hills framed by elegant mature trees could be the perfect backdrop to your ceremony.
There is plenty of room to feast on the portico and the large lawns, enjoying the Veneto cuisine which is one of the most varied in Italy. A more intimate celebration may be enjoyed by the swimming pool or in the grand hall on the first floor. After the nuptials, keep hold of the magic with a day trip to Venice, one of the most romantic cities in the world.

Wedding Reception
A reception for up to 70 people could be held in the gardens or beneath the portico, up to 30 guests could be seated by the swimming pool or up to 40 in the inside first-floor hall.
Dancing could continue in the garden, under the portico or for smaller groups by the swimming pool with music lowered by 1.30am.
Wedding Ceremony
A symbolic ceremony could take place at this villa in any of the same locations as the reception, listed above.
A civil ceremony may be held 4km from the villa at the local town hall.
The owners are able to provide details of an English-speaking celebrant.

Up to 14 people can sleep at the villa.
Nearby, there is a range of places to stay where all other guests could find accommodation.

Wedding Planning

The venue is able to suggest contacts for all other wedding extras but the organisation and booking is to be sorted by the client or planner.

The venue can suggest a range of external caterers for the event.
Venue prefers that clients use one of their suggested caterers.

There is limited accessibility by public transport, guests may need rideshare or taxis. There is also limited car parking on site. There is partial access for wheelchair users – please enquire for more details.

The minimum stay for an event is usually 4 nights (season dependent).

Children are welcome (no event childcare services are available).
