Located in Dorsoduro near the Peggy Guggenheim and Accademia galleries, Apartment Amara is a refined three-storey residence sleeping up to ten guests across four elegant bedrooms and a double sofa bed. A private entrance leads to a mirrored hallway with hidden laundry facilities and a ground-floor double bedroom with an en suite. On the first floor, the main living room features a corner sofa, silk lighting, and Juliet balcony, while a separate TV room with sofa bed and botanical accents opens onto a second balcony.

The modern kitchen/diner is fully equipped with Miele and Bosch appliances, including a wine fridge, and features seating for eight and French windows to a third balcony. A double bedroom with a desk, garden views, and an en-suite is also located on this floor. The top level offers a charming French-size double with private shower room and a spacious double with bespoke wardrobes and en suite with bath and shower.

This spacious three storey apartment was perfect for our larger group, with ensuite bathrooms for all bedrooms, lots of dining space, and two delightful living areas
The location is perfect, putting us in walking distance of shops, historical sites, restaurants, bars and cafes
The views from the apartment are spectacular - so be sure to pack your camera!

What you should know

The apartment has no lift, and due to the age of the building some of the staircases are steep and uneven, so it may not be suitable for younger children, older guests or those with limited mobility
Pets are not permitted at Apartment Amara
Three of the double beds can be separated to create singles on request

Set in Venice’s Dorsoduro district, Apartment Amara enjoys a quieter, more authentic atmosphere while remaining within easy reach of cultural highlights. Just moments away is the Gallerie dell’Accademia, home to many of the city’s most important artworks. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is also nearby, featuring major pieces from twentieth-century American and European artists and a café with some of the area’s best dining options.

Dorsoduro offers easy access to scenic canal-side restaurants, rooftop terraces, and seafood specialities unique to Venice. For a glimpse into the city’s opulent past, visit Ca’ Rezzonico, a beautifully preserved palace showcasing grand frescoes and marble staircases. A trip to St. Mark’s Square is also essential; once called the ‘drawing room of Europe’ by Napoleon, it’s where you’ll find the stunning St. Mark’s Basilica. Entry is free, but early arrival is advised to avoid long queues for this richly decorated masterpiece.
