This grand country residence and the grounds of the farm it sits within date back to the 16th century, making this a truly traditional place to unwind and recharge your batteries. Whether it's the rustic yet charming interior, or the picture-postcard gardens that you spend time in, you'll always feel Masseria Dei Sapori's rich heritage.
There are seven self-contained apartments, each with its own private entrance, kitchen facilities, living/dining area and outdoor space. Some have been carved out of the rocky terrain, with others once part of the old stables. The apartments have either one or two bedrooms, which makes them ideal for both family groups or couples. The studio cave apartment is especially romantic.
Within the vast grounds is another cave (grotta), that has been designed for events. It features cosy lounge areas, a large fireplace, a huge dining space and fully-equipped kitchen including pizza oven. Whatever your reason for visiting Masseria Dei Sapori, you're sure to make memories you'll never forget.
The gardens suit big occasions as much as simply relaxing with the family. There's a swimming pool with a bar, children's play area, tennis court and lawn bowls. Terraces and courtyards provide stunning views over the countryside and out to the sea. And strolling through the fruit and olive tree-dotted lawns you will come across rustic stone structures and quiet, tucked away corners.
Sandy beaches are within a 15-minute drive away, so why not make a picnic and head to the resort of Torre Canne for a day of sea and sand. Also nearby on the Adriatic coast is gorgeous Parco Dune Costiere. This huge area of parkland encompasses both inland and coastal landscapes, so you can enjoy walks, bike rides and swims in the sea.
Other highlights include the famous Valle d'Itria countryside and towns, such as Alberobello, Martina Franca, Cisternino and Locorotondo. There's also the city of Ostuni, or 'The White City'; a name given to the city due to the whitewashed buildings in its old town.
- Five of the apartments are part of the main Masseria whilst two are separate (including the underground cave studio near the grotta events cave).
- The maximum number of guests is 26 - this includes use of sofa-beds in two of the apartments - please see the "Features" tab for further details.
- Most of the apartments feature internal steps and/or low ceilings - also note that access to some areas of the vast outside grounds is via rocky surfaces and steps.
- Please note that the cave is only open to guests when breakfast is being served (free of charge), or for events (at an additional cost - to be arranged in advance). The kitchen and pizza oven are reserved to staff and cannot be used by guests.
- Please note the number of guests cannot be changed after the booking is confirmed and unexpected guests will not be allowed on the premises.

Feel the romance of this 16th century estate all around you as you celebrate with close family and friends. An exquisitely renovated cave has been especially designed for weddings and celebrations – imagine historic surroundings, beautiful lighting and space to dine or dance the evening away.
On warm summer days you can host your celebratory meal on the terrace, enjoying some of the finest Puglian cuisine and local wines as the sun downs and the stars start to twinkle in the clear skies above you.

There are a number of churches in local towns such as Savelletri, Torre Canne and Fasano. The owners can help find an English-speaking celebrant.
Wedding Reception
Masseria Dei Sapori features an enchanting cave which has been renovated and designed as a venue which can be rented for weddings, special celebrations and events.
It features a dining area for up to 18 guests and a terrace outside, as well as a modern kitchen, a traditional wood-fired pizza oven and a relaxing lounge area. There is also air-conditioning and heating, guest WCs and a sound system with built-in surround speakers. The owners have also installed beautiful lighting to make the most of this characteristic setting.
For a seated meal, the maximum capacity at the Masseria in the beautiful Cave will be 60. All groups with more than 60 guests will need to host their meal outdoors, on the terrace.
A meal can be set up on the terrace outside for up to 80 guests and the event can continue until 2.00 a.m, making the most of warm summer evenings. In the event of poor weather then guests can move inside the cave.
Dance the night away at a disco (with music usually turned off outside by midnight, subject to local laws) with space for 100 guests outside or 80 inside the cave.

The owners can provide details of an event/wedding coordinator or clients may use their own.
Catering
The owner does not arrange any of the catering but they can provide details of external caterers who will be able to help. Alternatively, the clients can arrange their own as long as a site-inspection is carried out by the caterer.
Please note that the cave’s kitchen is small so caterers will have to provide their own mobile kitchen set-up if catering for more than 18 guests.
Corkage is charged by the caterer if clients wish to provide their own wine.

Where To Stay
Up to 26 people can stay in the charming apartments at Masseria Dei Sapori whilst there are further accommodation options in the local area. The owners can provide details with local agencies who can provide transport to and from the wedding venue.

Wedding Suppliers
