This historic home has long been owned by noble and princely families who lived at the heart of this thriving agricultural community. The villa has a long and fascinating history and is a truly unique place to stay for a holiday.
The current owners of the home have taken care to preserve the centuries-old exteriors and period features while adding contemporary features and beautiful interior decor. Working with an artist and using the highest quality furnishings, the owners have created a warm and welcoming home.
As you enter the villa you will find the communal spaces; an open-plan living and dining room and a fully-fitted kitchen which can be used by everyone in the house to come together. The main villa also has three suites, one of these is located on the ground floor and the other two are upstairs. As well as comfy king-sized beds, the suites have TVs, living spaces with additional sofa beds and chic bathrooms.
On top of the main home, I Cavalieri also has a separate cottage in the grounds which has a king-sized bed, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living and dining space. As each of the suites and the cottage have their own living spaces, families or friends can travel together but also enjoy some privacy in their own spaces.
As well as stunning interiors, the villa is well-equipped with modern conveniences such as air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, TVs and PlayStations. If you would like to you are also able to book a number of great additional services which will make your trip even more relaxing, such as airport pick-ups, babysitting, guided tours and yoga classes.
The garden here is a lovely oasis filled with lavender, established trees, lawns and covered dining spaces. There is a private pool with plenty of sun loungers for lazy days outdoors enjoying each other’s company and the picturesque views. The garden even has its own church in the grounds which can be used for events with prior arrangement.
When you wish to get out and discover more of the local area, you do not need to travel far to visit ancient vineyards, historic villages with shops and eateries and woodland walking routes which are all under 3km away.
A little further out you can visit the towns of Soriano nel Cimino and Orte which are each 17.5km away and the medieval city of Viterbo which is 22km away. From the villa you can even visit Rome for a day trip as it is located 70km away which will take you just over an hour’s drive and is well worth the trip!
- I Cavalieri comprises of the main villa with three suites and a cottage in the grounds. This set up is perfect for couples or family groups travelling together as the home offers privacy as well as communal areas.
- The villa comfortably sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, whilst an additional 4 guests on request can sleep on sofa beds. Please enquire for further info.
- The private church is open to guests. A fee which will be quoted separately if requested for events - please enquire.
- You will find a bar and restaurant within a short distance, but we recommend bringing a car so you can easily reach the nearest village and explore more of the beautiful Lazio region. There is plenty of space for car parking.

Ask a questionCelebrate your intimate Italian wedding in the historic surroundings of I Cavalieri, a farmhouse that dates back many centuries and has been sensitively preserved and beautifully restored. The charming chapel overlooking the courtyard could be ideal for your ceremony followed by a romantic garden reception amongst the lavender, rosemary and summer flowers.
The owners can help you source caterers, depending on the size of your event. Why not be inspired by some of the delicious local gastronomy – this area has a rich farming heritage and is known for its chestnuts, hazlenuts, extra virgin olive oil and wine.

Wedding Ceremony and Reception
There are separate spaces for the ceremony and reception. There is an old church which could be used for a ceremony celebration or as a space to eat in case of rain.

Catering
There is no in-house catering so you may chose your own external caterers. The owners can let you know about their excellent local cook for smaller events (around 20 guests or less) or other local catering companies.

There is limited accessibility by public transport, guests may need rideshare or taxis. There is complimentary on-site car parking. There is limited wheelchair access – please enquire for more details.

Tents can be used in case of rain (and the church) – this depends on guest numbers.
