The contemporary, seven-bedroom Villa Le Cette welcomes up to fourteen guests to one of the Amalfi Coast’s foremost private estates. Fully embracing the natural beauty of this coastline’s dramatic landscape, this villa is enveloped in magnificent greenery.
Once you’ve sampled the magic of swimming in your own private corner of the sea, why spoil the relaxed mood with a trek back uphill? Electric golf carts are on hand, so climb in and head back up to the villa and replenish those wine glasses! Also, there is a fantastic, twenty-metre long swimming pool, with a dreamy view of the sea from its sunbathing platform, from which you can gaze out at the ferries taking day trippers to and from Capri.
The villa’s achingly cool mid-century design and décor ensures the inside is as elegant as the outside grounds. Stunning ceramic artwork and metal sculptures in the living room pop brilliantly against the whitewashed walls. The ceiling arches pay stylish homage to the natural coves found in the cliffs on this section of the coast.
Inspired design touches enhance the seven air-conditioned bedrooms, such as a floating bed frame, suspended from a ceiling beam, with occasional furniture pieces crafted from local timber. Crisp white linens adorn the sumptuous beds, matching the whitewashed walls to create a blissful environment for a restful night of sleep. The seven individually designed bathrooms conjure a sense of luxury, whether freshening up under a rainfall shower or relaxing in one of the stylish bathtubs with a glass of local Falanghina in the evening.
The indoor and outdoor kitchens are superbly equipped with high-end appliances inside, a pizza oven, and a charcoal grill outside. As well as the incredible facilities exclusive to Villa Le Cette, guests share access to the gym and farmhouse with a neighbouring property. The gym has a pair of treadmills, a sit-up bench, a spin bike, a step platform, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The farmhouse hosts ponies, donkeys, alpacas, Fallabella miniature horses, sheep and chickens, not to mention friendly cats and dogs!
Friday is market day on Maiori’s colourful promenade, where you will find a wide variety of artisanal foods, clothing and homewares – not to mention a cornucopia of treats for any visiting gourmet! As you would expect, you will be spoiled for choice regarding exceptional restaurants, trattorias and cafés, plenty of independent bakers, butchers and stores, perhaps the Amalfi Coast’s most famous and delicious export – Limoncello. You will have the region’s largest beach on your doorstep and will be within easy reach by car, ferry or bus from the other major towns on this glorious thirty-four-mile coastline. Ferries and hydrofoils take visitors across to the blue lagoons of Capri throughout the day, and the archaeological wonders of Pompeii are less than an hour's drive away.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa Le CetteJust ten minutes away by road, Maiori is the closest town to Villa Le Cette, with a pretty harbour full of fishing boats and yachts, not to mention the largest beach on the Amalfi Coast. This modern town is by far the most popular destination for beach lovers during the summer months, with plenty of excellent shops and restaurants and a vibrant, colourful nightlife. Unlike some of the steeper hillside towns in the region, Maiori is relatively easy to walk around while sightseeing, making it an ideal day out for most holidaymakers.
Amalfi is another charming port town, just under ten kilometres from Villa Le Cette. The promenade is stunning, with a bustling harbour full of colourful boats and bright, whitewashed buildings rising gently up the hillside. The eye-catching architecture and beautiful scenery extend well beyond the stunning cathedral in the Piazza del Duomo. You will discover a terrific range of independent shops and delightful cafés and restaurants – the phenomenal seafood, in particular, is not to be missed.
A scenic half-hour drive will bring you to the gorgeous clifftop town of Ravello, known as the ‘Balcony of the Amalfi Coast’. A long-standing refuge of artists, musicians and authors over the last two centuries, Ravello hosts a range of cultural events throughout the year, including the Ravello Festival. Michelin-starred restaurants share piazzas with trattorias and pizzerias, offering visitors a wealth of enticing dining options between taking in the breathtaking architecture and enjoying some of the best shopping along the Amalfi Coast.
Great shopping is one of the hallmarks of the towns and villages along this thirty-four-mile stretch of coast. Pastel-coloured buildings adorn the narrow streets, housing beautifully designed stores packed with everything from fine Italian leather bags and stylish clothing to ceramic art and one of the region’s most famous exports – Limoncello. Made with the freshest Sorrento lemons, this locally produced liqueur is available in its own dedicated stores in a range of imaginatively designed bottles. Whether you prefer the traditional local recipe, a refreshing lemon granite, or artisanal varieties infused with peppermint or juniper, this is an unmissable treat to enjoy during your stay on the Amalfi Coast.
There are vibrant weekly markets in the towns close by, with Ravello and Sorrento hosting theirs on a Tuesday. These street markets all have their own picturesque backdrops, with crowds gathering at Amalfi’s port on Thursdays treated to an incredible view from the oceanfront path. Those arriving later in the week can gather fantastic ingredients for weekend dinners at Maiori on Friday and have the chance to wander along the promenade and enjoy this pretty harbour town.
