About the surrounding area of Villa PolidoriThe villa is situated on the extremity West side of Ischia island in a park nature reserve called Punta Caruso Park, , where nearby we have the Negombo Thermal Gardens,on the beach of Sant. Montano Bay and the Mortella Botanic Gardens. It is also nearby Forio city centre and Lacco Ameno town.
The villa is situated in Punta Caruso nature park on the volcanic island of Ischia, off the coast of Naples in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The natural volcanic activity mean the main attractions on island are the hot springs and volcanic mud.
Nearby are the glorious Negombo Thermal Gardens, a thermal water park situated in the beautiful corner of Ischia known as San Montano Bay in Lacco Ameno.
There are twelve different types of swimming pools and baths to choose from, each heated to a different temperature, and also a Japanese Labyrinth Bath to improve circulation.
The Mortella Botanic Gardens are an unmissable paradise of exotic flora, linked together with walkways and stairs, offering gorgeous views over the bay of Forio.
The villa is also close to the picturesque town of Forio, with all shops and amenities, and much of the islands prettiest architecture.

I bought this property ten years ago, when it was only a ruin. The first owner Giovanni Maltese sold the house in the 1906 to a Giovanni Matarese.
During the second world war the house was occupied by the American military as an outpost for maritime traffic.
After that it was abandoned until another Giovanni (myself) fell in love with the property, buying and renovating the villa to create the glorious rental available to you today!

Excellent restful and restorative holiday
Oliver's Travels were so helpful and kind to me as my holiday plans shifted. The villa was exceptional and the host was lovely and provided us with so much that helped our holiday to go smoothly and well. We all needed a rest and some quiet and although we had a toddler with us we all managed to find some space and even managed to find a spa open for an afternoon treat. We hired a car which was essential to getting to the villa and enjoyed the views and the food in Ischia. The setting and the accommodation were exceptional - it was surrounded by beautiful scenery and the host was friendly and helpful. There was a lovely welcome package and there are several areas to chose from in terms of sitting outside and looking into the horizon. Overall an excellent Villa. The track down to the villa is very narrow but we became expert at negotiating it over the week. We can't thank you and the host enough for making this much needed holiday truly memorable.
