About the surrounding area of Casa VesuvioSituated just outside of the enthralling town of Sorrento, the location of this property couldn’t be better. Casa Vesuvio is in a quaint hilltop neighbourhood offering privacy and mind-blowing views of the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Moreover, the property is just a short 10-minute drive from the centre of Sorrento, where you can find an extensive array of top-quality restaurants and shops. The nearest supermarket to the villa is also only a 5-minute drive away from the property.
Once in Sorrento, you are treated to many things to do and see. Some sights to notice include Piazza Tasso, Marina Grande and the Cloister of San Francesco. This town is so charming that even just strolling through the narrow streets, admiring the architecture and soaking up the atmosphere is a great way to spend the day. What’s more, it is famous for its lemons, and as you wander the streets, you are sure to see some of its delightful lemon trees. Make sure to try some of the delicious limoncello liqueur before you leave.
In addition, from Sorrento, you can easily take a day trip to the stunning island of Capri, home to many celebrities. Catch the ferry from the port of Marina Piccola to reach Capri in just 20-30 minutes. Once you’re on the island, you will be spoiled for choice with high-end shops and exceptional restaurants. Furthermore, Capri offers some of the most outstanding natural beauty on the Amalfi Coast. It is well-known for its Faraglioni Rocks and its magical Blue Grotto. Both spots are not to be missed!
Additionally, drive only 50 minutes to see the ancient city of Pompeii. A truly fascinating place where you can see what remains of the once-thriving city destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. What’s more, you can reach the glamorous cliffside village of Positano in just 40 minutes by car. Furthermore, the lively city of Naples is just a 1-hour drive away. Here, you can see the world heritage sites of Castel dell’Ovo and Castel Sant’Elmo.

For an entertaining day out, take them to Museo Correale, where they can see Neapolitan arts and crafts and Japanese, Chinese and European ceramics.
For those who love the ocean, head to the popular secluded swimming spot of Bagni Regina Giovanna. This area is also home to scenic ruins of a Roman villa and amazing coastal views; it is only a 10-minute drive from the property. Some of the best family-friendly towns and villages along the coast include Minori, Maiori and Amalfi, which are all between an hour and an hour and 30 minutes drive away from the villa.
