The historical Monastery of Agia Lavra and cave is a wonderful visit. Close to Kalavryta, you can head to the village of Kastria where you will find the Cave of the Lakes. There are some gorgeous waterfronts in the neighbouring village of Planitero on the Aroanios River where you will find salmon and trout fish farms and some amazing fish tavernas.
The Panagiotopoulos country house in Lambiri offers a fabulous estate which is open to visitors for coffees, drinks, delicious food, sun bathing on the sandy beach and clubbing. It is roughly 5km from Selianitika.
Other popular excursions are to the Trizonia islands and walks and climbs along the Vouraikos River with a train ride from Diakofto. The river flows from the Aroania mountains past the towns of Kalavryta and Diakofto into the Gulf of Corinth near Diakopto. The Kouniniotis Museum for the Black Raisin in Aigio offers visitors an interesting experience of watching the processing and packaging of raisins and other fruits.
Further into the Peloponnese, the Mani peninsula attracts visitors for its Byzantine churches and Frankish castles, its secluded beaches and stunning scenery. The fortified mansions and towers of Mani are a beautiful sight with tiled roofs and raw walls. Medieval villages are perched on hilltops with the stone towers hanging on the steep cliffs. It then follows to the harbour of Agios Nikolaos and Agios Dimitrios Beach. Passing through Platsa and Nomitsi, you will then reach Itilo, the capital of the region and then Areopolis. South of Areopolis are the Diros caves, Harounda Village and the village of Mezapos. The picturesque village of Gerolimenas is further along, spread around a pebbled beach and where you can enjoy some delicious food. Finally you will arrive in Vathia.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Nerantzies is fantastic for families. It is extremely spacious, inside and out. The estate is wonderful with children enjoying the pool, picking fruit and vegetables and enjoying sports on the field. The beach at Selianitika is excellent for families.
The legendary Cave of Lakes at Kastria in Achaia is a rare creation of nature that enthralls children. It boasts a labyrinth of corridors, mysterious galleries and unusual stalactite formations. Inside the cave there are cascading lakes on three different levels. In winter, when the snow melts, the cave becomes a subterranean river with natural waterfalls. In the summer, the cave dries up to reveal stone basins and dams of up to four metres in height. There are thirteen picturesque lakes in total with stalactites and stalagmites throughout.
Children also love Lake Tsivlou which is blueish green in colour and lies 800 metres above sea level. It is very important for the local ecology and culture. Next to the village of Zarouchla is one of the biggest forests in Achaia full of rare black pine trees as well as chestnut trees and fir trees. Children enjoy hiking in the forest.
Another special place is Planetero, an enchanting plane tree forest at an altitude of 697 metres. It is famous for its many watermills and fish farms. The area of Planetero is located within the Natura 2000 area Mount Helmos and Stygos Waters. The forest is full of centuries-old plane trees, some with four metre diameter trunks. The springs of the Aroanios River gush over the rocks making it very attractive to visitors. In the tavernas surrounding the springs you will dine on delicious baked, fried or sauteed trout with butter and almonds.
For a thrilling day out, families enjoy the Calma Waterpark. It is 19km from the centre of Patras opposite the beautiful Nafpaktos. There are activities and rides for all ages including open and closed high speed waterslides, a large jacuzzi and pools.

Enjoying every moment
We had great time at the Villa Nerantzies and the beautiful aera.
The host was very helpful and kind. we had a very warm welcoming. The house is fully equipped and comfortable. We had some issues that not under the responsivity of the host and he helped us way beyond our expectations. We were there for 8 days, enjoying every moment. The little village itself is gorgeous, and has small winery. The whole area is amazing just get in to your car drive towards the cost and in-between the small towns. -
Amazing Week
We have had a wonderful time and the villa has been amazing.
We are currently at Olympia visiting the ancient ruins.
Thanks for an amazing week at your house. We have had a brilliant holiday

Better than advertised
The home was even better than the photos! Very spacious with tons of amenities. Host thought of everything - from the welcome basket to the little extras, like a stocked medicine cabinet, to the personal tour of the area and recommendations on restaurants/activities.
It was perfect for us to host our family. For meals we had 12 and there still was extra room.
Would definitely stay again and 100% recommend.

A small piece of heaven
The communication with the owner is outstanding. He is very responsive, helpful and makes sure to pick you up at a meeting point so you can easy find that villa upon arrival. We have rented a lot of houses and this is by far the best equipped with ALL you need (there is even bottled water, soap, wine a garden where you are allowed to harvest and loads of other stuff for your convenience).
The pool is huge with an awesome view overlooking the sea. All outdoor areas (including the outdoor kitchen) are indeed fantastic and very clean. my best recommendations - a small piece of heaven. -
We will be back...
We were warmly welcomed by Charis father on the day of arrival. He picked us up in town and gave lots of tips for shopping, leisure activities and visits to the beach and showed us the way to the villa. The location is a bit out of the way, but everything is easy to reach by car.
The villa is located in a beautiful and well-kept garden and you have a great view of the bay and the sea. We felt completely comfortable and can only recommend everyone to book Villa Primavera.
We were greeted with fresh water in the fridge and fruit. Even fresh flowers have been thought of. Everything was very clean and nothing was missing.
Of course, we particularly liked the pool with sea views, the large eat-in kitchen and the beautiful terrace with the large dining table. The equipment of the villa was also top (very high quality).
The kitchen has everything you need for self-catering, from plates, glasses and cutlery to a garlic press. In the meantime, the landlord called again and asked if everything was okay.
He is always available as a contact person, but of course we still had the house to ourselves.

A Great Vacation
We rented the villa with 8 friends. The location and the view is fantastic. The house is equipped with everything you need. In Selianitika there are many opportunities to eat right by the sea.
We were warmly welcomed with wine and a shot by the host. We got great tips on what to do nearby.
In fact, all the tips turned out to be excellent. Especially the boat tour to the surrounding islands is highly recommended. Dimos, the host will be happy to help with this.
We were in Greece to celebrate a friend's wedding. Here, too, Dimos organized a taxi ride to the neighboring town for us.
All in all it was a great vacation. Thank you to the host.
Thank you, Dimos!
