The Villa
Olive Mill Villa it is surrounded by a vast olive tree Estate that belongs same owners. Located at the edge of village Poriarata and pretty close to the sandy beach Trapezaki. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in the main house, which can accommodate up to 8 people. A further two guests can make use of the 4 twin bedroom suite raising maximum capacity to 10.

The wonderful Olive Mill Villa is a rural treat on the captivating Greek island of Kefalonia, and one of the few houses on the island with a private chef service. Combining the charm of traditional Greek architecture, think rustic stone walls and terracotta tile roofs, with beautiful gardens, modern guestrooms and a large outdoor Tuscan-style swimming pool. The villa makes the perfect choice for guests looking to relax and recharge in a countryside setting. The villa even basts a helicopter landing area, however, the nearest bakery, taverna and shops are conveniently all within walking distance.
Set amidst a vast olive tree estate for your utmost tranquillity and privacy, and close to the sandy beach of Trapezaki, this charming property offers the best of both worlds – quiet seclusion, yet easy links to discover more of what this breath-taking island has to offer. Inside, the beautifully furnished rooms offer contemporary comfort to complement the classic yet stylish feel, with plenty of luxurious extras including the finest quality linen, hairdryer and toiletries, as well as air conditioning throughout, which gives a pretty good indication of just how seriously comfort is taken here.
The spacious villa is spread across three sumptuous levels and can comfortably sleep between up to eight guests in the main house, and a further two in lower ground floor. Creamy pristine interiors and well-kept outdoor spaces make for a most relaxing hideout. The stone-paved pool terrace includes soft grassy spots perfect for children to play or for you to lay with your holiday read and several loungers are lining the pool for finding your prime sun spot. The garden also boasts an alfresco dining area, more sink-into seating and a barbecue, and is surrounded by flowers, plants and trees for a ‘Secret Garden’ style escape.
Floor-to-ceiling windows let the sunshine flood in, and you can survey the stunning landscape from the private balconies. On the ground floor, there’s a dining area, fully-equipped country-style kitchen, as well as a twin bedroom with an en-suite and a double bedroom with a separate bathroom. On the lower ground floor, there’s also a twin bedroom with an en-suite with it's own entrance, this is available at an extra cost. On the first floor you’ll find the master bedroom with a king-size bed, another twin room and a bathroom with a mosaic shower.
Back to the private chef, Yolanda is very talented and her Moussaka is pretty sensational to. Whatever your choice of food, you will enjoy fantastic freshly cooked meals in these wonderful surroundings. The only way to really experience that is to book a stay at Olive Mill Villa.
- Despite the villa's prime location, the airport and Argostoli town are a 15-minute drive away and while the nearest bakery, taverna and mini-market are all within a short walk, the closest supermarket is a 10-minute drive and so it’s definitely necessary to hire a car
- Please note that the fifth bedroom, although being in the main house, has separate external access
- Those wanting access to five bedrooms, will need to select 10 guests at the time of booking and pay the relevant rate
- Trapezaki beach is just 1900m from the property, easy walking down but the return trip is best by car!
- The cook will prepare daily breakfasts, plus 1 main meal (dinner, or on up to 2 days lunch can be served instead) 6 days a week
- The main kitchen, on the lower ground floor and is reserved for staff use, and guest not have access to cooking facilities. A smaller first-floor kitchen is used for breakfast preparation.

Olive Mill Villa is part of our Sustainable Villa Collection, supporting the local community and promoting sustainable living, which is why a week of yoga at this unique property is such a good marriage of the two philosophies. Enjoy a restorative stay in this old traditional stone built house, with well-maintained mature gardens, stunning sea views, and an impressive Tuscan-style step entry swimming pool. Start the day with an optional jog around the estate, before an hour and a half Morning Flow yoga session with an experienced teacher, the ideal place for a real life sun salutation. Relish a homemade healthy brunch before some daily free time, whether you chose to take a walk in nature and discover the olive estate, see the Ionian Sea, swim in the pool, read a book, or simply relax and reflect in your room, the afternoon is for some you-time. Get to know the rest of your party with a social drink in the gorgeous grounds at sun set, before a dinner cooked by the Yolanda, their talented in-house chef. End the days counting the twinkling stars before retreating to your elegant bedroom for a good night’s sleep. One of the days during the week is set aside for a fabulous fun day at sea, swim and snorkel in the warm Ionian waters, then wind down and relax sunbathing in a secluded sandy beach bay.
Typical Weekly Yoga Retreat Itinerary:
- 5 yoga classes a week each lasting 1.5 hours, followed by brunch
- Rest of the day free to walk the estate, take an excursion, explore the area, swim in the pool or sea, or simply relax around the pool on a sun lounger
- Afternoons – optional massage with a trained therapist
- Evenings – social drinks, followed by a dinner prepared in-house by the Olive Mill chef
- One of the days is reserved for a skippered cruise to an adjacent island and secluded sandy beaches

Wedding Ceremony
The celebrants can take their vows in the magnificently restored and architecturally listed old olive mill, with a spacious terrace and a 17th-century threshing floor. Weddings can take place during the months of May, June, and September.
Wedding Reception
The newly married couple and their guests can celebrate with the most elegant wedding reception in the well maintained historic grounds of the Migliaressis Estate, which includes the sympathetically restored traditional stone villa and its annexes, the old mill and the threshing floor, and the beautifully manicured gardens with Tuscan-style swimming pool and sweeping views over the Ionian Sea. The property can cater for up to a hundred guests, or more depending on different combinations.

A wedding co-ordinator is highly advisable, the owners can offer assistance with a wedding planner and a concierge service with an extensive network of local people, who pride themselves on offering a bespoke service to create the wedding of your dreams.
Catering
Olive Mill Villa doesn’t generally have their own in-house catering but they can work with you, a trained professional chef and the wedding planner to create your own unique wedding breakfast, reception and personal celebrations. You are welcome to use whoever you want.
Wedding Packages
The venue can provide extra cleaning on request. Day before and after events are permitted and will be included in the wedding package.
