Halkidiki is a fantastic holiday destination in Northern Greece. Its famous three legs, Kassandra, Sithonia and Athos, offer a dramatic landscape with mountains heavy with flowering gorse and the gorgeous scents of pine plunging down to sandy coves. Sithonia is quieter than Kassandra and boasts picturesque harbours, olive groves, green lush forest and golden beaches. Access to the Athos penininsula stops at the village of Uranupolis, which is the border before Mount Athos. As well as being famous for its beaches and nightlife, Halkidiki is famous for it archaeological sites and its historical, cultural and religious interests. Dating back to the Byzantine period, Elia Nikitis is a delightful coastal village between Nikiti and Neos Marmaras.
Villa Brosia enjoys contemporary architecture, minimalist design, trendy furnishings, a super calm colour palette and striking design features. Set within gorgeous gardens brimming with aromatic herbs including lavender and rosemary, it offers a serene and peaceful environment. At the rear of the resort there are ancient olive trees, some of the oldest in Sithonia and estimated to be over one thousand years old. There are also the ruins of an early Christian church. The resort beach is only for use by the guests staying in each of the three villas. Lovely beach furniture is provided.
Villa Brosia is built over three floors with four bedrooms, four bathrooms and light and airy living space. The villa is perfect for families or groups of friends. The semi-basement sleeping area is home to two double bedrooms and two gorgeous bathrooms. It is very cool during the hot summer months and is drowned in natural light through the very large picture windows that look out to a pretty private garden.
Huge floor-to-ceiling glass doors open at the rear of the living area, bringing the outside in and offering superb garden and sea views. You will enjoy a chef’s dream of a kitchen, a charming dining area and an elegant lounge area, all beautifully presented. The kitchen features excellent appliances including a stainless steel American style fridge freezer and a Nespresso coffee machine. It also offers a sociable island so that guests can open a bottle of chilled wine and keep the chef company. A contemporary corner sofa looks out to the garden, pool and the sea and is also perfectly positioned to enjoy the smart television. You will also discover a luxury master bedroom suite on this level with doors opening to a beautifully furnished terrace. You can pop outside for your morning cup of coffee. It is a spectacular space with a beautifully dressed king-size bed and an in-room bathroom with a freestanding bath and glass shower box. You will dive deep into slumber on the crispest of cottons and a luxurious Candia handmade, hypoallergic mattress.
A fantastic contemporary spiral staircase takes you upstairs to the other master bedroom suite. It is a another fantastic space with a wall of glass opening to a huge balcony with stunning views of the Toronean Gulf with the island of Kelyfos, across the Kassandra peninsula and over to the dramatic peaks of Mount Olympus. The master suite is ultra cool with a sumptuous kingsize bed and a gorgeous ensuite bathroom. This comes complete with fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers, just as the others do.
Villa Brosia boasts sensational outdoor space. It enjoys a wonderful alfresco dining area, gorgeous outdoor sofas and chairs, a unique shaped swimming pool in the centre of the garden and two wooden decks nestled right by the sea. Here you will find luxury loungers and bean bags and can relax to the soothing sounds of the waves. The gardens enjoy lush lawns and plenty of ancient olive trees. The private rocky beach is shared by all three villas and is 15 metres long. It offers the ultimate in relaxation, simplicity and exceptional beauty. Gorgeous wooden sun loungers and beach tents are provided.

About the surrounding area of Villa BrosiaVilla Brosia is located Elia Nikitis, a charming, tranquil seaside village on the Sithonia peninsula, the middle finger of Halkidiki. It sits 12km south of the ancient settlement of Nikiti and the resort town of Neos Marmaras and is within easy reach of the wonderful Sithonia beaches of Akti Elias, Lagomandra, Akti Koviou, Spathies and Ai Giannis.
Neos Marmaras is the largest seaside village in Sithonia. It enjoys beautiful beaches, gorgeous scenery with a mountain backdrop, a good nightlife, lovely views of Kelifos island, the first peninsula of Halkidiki and the mountain of Gods, Olympus. There are fish markets, supermarkets, fur shops, gift shops, a floating port with boat rides and charming bars.
Also on the Sithonia peninsula is one of Halkidiki’s hidden gems, Vourvourou Bay with its excellent restaurants, stunning beach and plenty of entertainment. A cruise can take you around Diaporos Island, stopping at Kryfto, a hidden bay and Galazia Nera, a narrow pass between Diaporos and Agios Isidoros where you can enjoy a swim stop in the shallow, warm, turquoise water. A cruise around the Athos peninsula helps you to discover one of Orthodox Christianity’s most important spiritual centres, Mouth Athos which has been around since 1054. The impressive monasteries have remained unchanged since Byzantine times. Guests can visit the birthplace of Aristotle on another tour to Aristotle Park, admiring the statue of the ancient Greek philosopher. The trip also takes you to the village of Arnea, home to Macedonian architecture, tavernas and one of the more important historical sites. The Royal Tomb of Phillip the Second, King of Macedon and father of Alexander the Great is situated at the the foothills of Mount Pierra, one of Greece’s most important archaeological discoveries.
The ancient city of Thessaloniki is roughly 90km away. Thessalonkiki is the second largest city of Greece and enjoys a long, fascinating 2500 year history. You will discover the city’s cultures, religions and diverse history at the Archaeological Museum, the Byzantine Museum, the Jewish Museum and the Ataturk Mseum. The Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art will appeal to art lovers and there are plenty of treats for children. Thessaloniki also appeals to foodies with its excellent food markets and street food. Shopping trips can be enjoyed at the Mediterranean Cosmos Shopping Mall or the label laden boutiques in Thessaloniki’s centre. Thessaloniki’s main attractions include the White Tower, Aristoltelous Square, Kamara, Rotunda and Galerian complex, the Ancient Market, the Port and the Ladadika district.
Halkidiki is renowed for its fabulous pine scented beaches, many surrounded by olive groves. Some of Halkidiki’s special attractions include Ouranoupolis Beach, Ammouliani Island, Alykes, St. George, Megali Ammos, Tigani and Karagatsia. Ouranoupolis boasts a small fishing harbour with the allure and mystery of Mouth Athos in the background. The Byzantine Tower of Ouranoupolis, the ruins of Zigou Abbey, the oldest monastery, the canal of Xerxes are all waiting to be discovered as well as the most heavenly of beaches.
Pefkochori is a vibrant seaside resort on the gorgeous Kassandra peninsula. Its whitewashed houses are beautifully decorated with flowers and the main street is brimming with restaurants, cafes, beach bars and shops. Visitors enjoy strolling through the old town of Pefkochori to the tiny village square with its church, fountain and coffee shop where many locals gather. Colourful boats are moored at the pier taking tourists on wonderful excursions. Just outside of the village, you will discover more beautiful beaches including Kanapitsa, Chrisi Akti, Alonaki and Chrouso. A little further away, you can visit Paliouri where there are some famous beach bars, Navagos and Koursaros. The most lively place on Kassandra is Kallithea, surrounded by a beautiful pine forest. You will find gold shops, fur shops, clothing boutiques, supermarkets and plenty of eateries. Kallithea is the ultimate choice for a wild, party evening. It attracts the best DJ’s of Northern Greece. You will hear Buzuki music and might even catch a glimpse of a strip show. In the centre of the town you will find the Russian style Church of St. Panteleimon and an archaeological site where the Temple of Dionysus, the Nymphs and part of Ammon Zeus have been excavated.

Getting There
How to reach Halkidiki
The nearest airport is the International Airport of Thessaloniki. This is about 16km from Thessaloniki. From this region of Thermi you can get to Halkidiki by bus or Taxi. There are several domestic flights that run from Athens Airport to the airport in Thessaloniki too.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Brosia is ideal for families. It offers a gorgeous garden and pool, spacious living areas and direct access to a private beach. There is plenty of space and the villa is always very popular with families.
Halkidiki offers diverse entertainment. It is perfect for families that love the outdoors. One of the most interesting places to visit on Sithonia is the village of Parthenonas which is situated on the slopes of Mount Itamos. It features stone houses, tavernas, a museum and absolutely stunning sunsets.
Sithonia’s beaches are wonderful. Some are ultra quiet hideaways and others enjoy watersports, organised loungers and beach bars. Halkidiki enjoys eighty nine Blue Flag beaches in total where families can enjoy warm, turquoise waters and gorgeous sand. If you want to explore, Loutra is a small fishing village on Kassandra with a calm bay, small sandy beach and some excellent fish restaurants. Neo Skioni is on the western shore of the peninsula and is very organised. It boasts fine, dazzling white sand with swings and a large playground directly on the beach. The pretty port next to the beach is great for an afternoon stroll. In the summer, you will find a small fun park by the port. Fourka or Skala Fourka is 2.5km long and very wide. There are some wonderful watersports and beach restaurants. The number one family friendly beach on Kassandra is probably Xenia at Chrouso. It is often called the ‘Maldives of Greece’ for its fine sand and turquoise water. The sea is very shallow for a long time, ideal for the young ones, plus there are beautiful green surroundings. Close to Thessaloniki you will find the beaches of Agia Triada, Angelohori, Asporvalta and Galaksis. On Sithonia you have so many beaches to enjoys. Sea Kayak Halkidiki, located in Vourvourou Bay, Sithonia, offers an unforgettable day kayaking in the gorgeous blue water surrounding Diaporos Island. The green landscapes of the fragrant pine trees, white sandy beaches and crystal turquoise waters are stunning. The trip includes the kayak and snorkeling equipment as well as picnic lunches. Orange Beach and Kavourotypes are two of the most beautiful beaches in Sithonia. Their small harbours and fishermen houses add to their charm.
There are several waterparks in Halkidiki. One is the Crazyland Water Park at the beautiful Glarokavos Beach in Pefkochori. Children over the age of six can enjoy hours of fun in the water.
