The villa has an excellent location within a small, private gated community close to the village of Kaliviani, where a range of amenities can be found. The nearest beach can be found just a few-minutes away at Gramvoussa Bay, although we recommend venturing a little further and heading to either Falassarna or Balos Lagoon, both of these beautiful beaches are around twenty-minutes away by car. The closest resort, Kissamos, is around ten-minutes away and boasts a wider selection of amenities. The airport, Chania International, is conveniently located just under an hour away.
Kissamos, also known as Kastelli, is a small coastal town in the northwest of Crete that offers an authentic alternative to the island’s more developed tourist centres. Surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes, olive groves and vineyards, the area is steeped in Cretan culture and natural beauty. Despite its proximity to these hotspots, Kissamos retains a laid-back charm, with a working harbour, traditional tavernas and a local pace of life that remains largely untouched by mass tourism. Its strategic location also makes it ideal for exploring the wider Chania region, from ancient ruins to scenic gorges and rural villages.
