Villa Certosa is set in the sleepy fishing village of Pentati in western Corfu, around four kilometres south of Agios Gordios. The village remains largely untouched by mass tourism, offering a peaceful and authentic atmosphere. A handful of local tavernas and cafés serve traditional fare, and the nearest beach is just three kilometres away. The old villages of Ano Pavliana and Kato Pavliana are also nearby and well worth exploring. While some amenities are within walking distance, a car is recommended to fully enjoy the area.
In the resort village of Agios Gordios, a renowned Blue Flag beach offers excellent conditions for sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling. Backed by mountains and framed by olive groves, vineyards and striking rock formations, the setting is particularly scenic. The drive there winds through countryside dotted with olive trees and vines. Watersports such as sea kayaking and jet skiing are available, and the village itself features a selection of shops, restaurants and pastel-coloured houses to discover.
Around three kilometres from Pentati lies the traditional village of Sinarades, home to a Folklore Museum housed in a nineteenth-century residence. The nearby Corfu Trail passes through rural landscapes and along the coastline, linking villages and tavernas.
Corfu Town is approximately a thirty-minute drive away. Its Old Town showcases Venetian-style neoclassical architecture, cobbled lanes and hidden gardens. The Old Fortress offers sweeping harbour views, while local tavernas serve classic Greek dishes alongside freshly baked pastries and regional specialities.
