Beach-lovers only have to travel just over half an hour to the coast – there are long stretches of sandy beaches from St Georges de Didonne to St Palais sur Mer. Wine aficionados needn’t travel far either with dozens of wineries and Cognac nearby. This region has a particularly mild climate all year round and it can be one of the sunniest parts of France during from late Spring to Autumn.
