A short drive from the pretty village of Caromb, Les Rocans is a 250-year-old French farmhouse that exudes Provençal charm. Surrounded by countryside and vineyards, and set within four acres of grounds with a private olive grove of over 100 trees, this rustic home offers a delightful escape in the heart of rural France.

Stone walls, tiled floors and beamed ceilings preserve the character of the original farmhouse, while thoughtful updates provide comforts of a contemporary home. Ideal for up to 6 adults and 4 children, the five-bedroom layout includes inviting communal spaces, a well-equipped kitchen and UK satellite TV alongside Wi-Fi. A sitting room, library of books and games and cosy bedrooms make the house suited to small relaxed gatherings or family holidays.

Outdoors, it’s simply enchanting. Dine beneath the shade of an ancient oak so atmospherically lit up at night, looking out to the pool terrace and beyond, where views stretch across rolling countryside. The lovely swimming pool is flanked by loungers, while younger guests will love the grassy football area, swings, trampoline and table tennis. Scents of wild thyme and rosemary drift from the borders, and guests are welcome to help themselves to figs, almonds and bay leaves straight from the many trees.

Set just a short drive from the charming village of Caromb, Les Rocans is perfectly positioned for exploring the best of the Vaucluse. Local markets, vineyard tastings and lively summer festivals are all within easy reach. Avignon and Orange, with their theatres, museums and rich architectural heritage, are perfect days out, while the dramatic landscapes of Mont Ventoux are ideal for hikers, keen cyclists and admirers of stunning natural beauty.

For those seeking relaxed sunny days, local food and wine and the gentle rhythm of Provençal life, Les Rocans offers a picture-perfect backdrop.
