In the heart of a bustling village, Apartment Molière is a stylish couple’s retreat set within the beautifully restored large garden and house of a former winegrower. Once a hayloft, this first-floor apartment has been thoughtfully transformed into an air-conditioned haven of comfort, where contemporary design meets characterful original beams and calming interiors.

Up a private exterior staircase, guests step into a light-filled open-plan living space with armchairs, a dining area and a well-equipped kitchen. A pretty bedroom with a queen-size double bed awaits alongside a shower room and separate WC. Tucked beneath the low beams, the mezzanine makes a cosy nook for quiet evenings with its futon and Smart TV.

The apartment is part of the same building as the owner’s lovely Chambre d’hôtes (B&B) and guests can enjoy shared access to the wonderful garden, a real gem considering the village location, with table tennis, a hammock and a gorgeous heated swimming pool surrounded by lavender and sun loungers. Apartment guests have their very own al-fresco dining area and plancha for relaxing lunches or evening meals accompanied by local Languedoc wine.

Servian itself is a large vibrant, working village nestled in the vineyards of the Languedoc. From the apartment, it’s a very short stroll to everything you might need: bakeries, a grocery store, a small handful of places to eat and a good-sized supermarket on the village's edge. Wine-lovers will find themselves spoilt for choice with numerous domaines offering tastings just moments away.

Meanwhile, Pézenas enchants with its winding streets, artisan boutiques and cultural buzz, while Béziers offers lively markets and sweeping views from the cathedral. And when the sea calls, the Mediterranean coast is just 25 minutes away. From the family-friendly sands of Vias Plage to the lively marina at Cap d’Agde, days by the water are always within easy reach.

What Oliver loves...

  • Stylish apartment for two in a beautifully restored house of a former winegrower in the heart of a Languedoc village

  • How wonderful to be able to use the estate’s garden oasis with its shared heated pool, hammock and table tennis
  • Enjoy your very own al-fresco dining area with a plancha – perfect for laid-back evenings with good local wine
  • Stroll to local village amenities, handy for fresh croissants, groceries and wine!
  • Discover nearby Pézenas, Béziers and the Mediterranean coast, all within easy reach

What you should know

  • The apartment is a newly renovated hayloft, part of a former winegrower’s house belonging to the owner who also runs a Chambre d’hôtes (B&B). You share the swimming pool and garden with Chambre d’hôtes guests, but you do have your own al-fresco dining table and plancha.
  • There’s a charming mezzanine level with Smart TV above the open-plan living space – do note that the space between the top of the mezzanine stairs and the beam just above is 1.15m so you will have to crouch.
