The atmosphere, its magical setting and historical importance.

During the time of the Romans, the priests who lived on the property collected a toll for use of the local road and bridge. • Thanks, it's been great!

    on 14/06/2012

This has been a complete family holiday for us. In total nineteen members of the family spanning 4 generations spent a most enjoyable week at the Chateau. The weather was variable but it didn't matter. We spent time inside and outside the Chateau. We had 2 barbecues, we walked the grounds, we played pool and we watched a movie every night! We visited local vineyards- we even had a trip to Annecy. Mostly though, we were just lazy, exactly what a holiday should be. the Chateau is a super building, with lots of history and character everywhere you look. The restoration has been to a high standard. And the caretaker has been extremely helpful to us. Thanks, it's been great!

  • Most memorable week our family has ever experienced

  • Magnificent French Chateau...

    on 14/06/2012

We appreciate you sharing your magnificent French Chateau home with our clan. It means so much to us to spend this time together-two generations all under one roof. The grand rooms, gorgeous French kitchen, game room, and movie theater all have left a memory of 7 great nights together-sure to be the topic of conversation of our family for years to come! Unbelievable sunrises and sunsets enjoyed on your terraces-thank you for sharing these remarkable sights with us! We enjoyed Bernard with our wine tour of the unique Savoie region, our unbelievable Mont Blanc journey and every village tour we could find. The best of all, we would return each day and have the property manager who provided and guided all our dining experiences. memories made here are once in a lifetime-we wish our best to you and thank you.

  • If only we had another week!

    on 14/06/2012

If only we had another week! So much to enjoy and explore. Savoie is an amazing beautiful place and the Chateau itself is captivating. I couldn't imagine a better setting to build fun & touching memories with our family that will continue to grow in epic embellished proportions through the years. Thank you for having us! We look forward to being back one day. I am so grateful that our uncle invited us to this wonderful place. Thanks for everything.

  • Many great memories formed that we will never forget

    on 14/06/2012

What a great trip! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. My family truly enjoyed our stay, from our dungeon disco party, fantastic meals, to the invasion of the game room. Many great memories formed that we will never forget. On the next note, the property manager was phenomenal. A wonderful hostess that was patient with my insane family. Thank you again and we hope to get back again.

  • This Chateau is a once in a lifetime experience!

    on 14/06/2012

This Chateau is a once in a lifetime experience. As the final day approaches, we wish we had more time in the Chateau and the region. We loved exploring the site and the surrounding areas, seeing the people's way of life and learning about their history and culture. Our lives have been enriched by this experience and the memories of this family event will be with us always thanks to the patriarch of this family. The property manager was attentive and helpful and had many ideas to share with us.

  • Absolutely magical experience...

    on 14/06/2012

How can simple words summarize our absolutely magical experience here in your Savoie utopia? From the picture perfect views, to the haunting dungeon, to the Juliet-like windows & spirited horses, to the soothing sounds of the ancient water "mill" to the sheer comfort & welcoming embrace we immediately felt upon entering the gates of your medieval paradise. Ahhh...!!! Our clan, as my fathers guests, have created lasting memories & have had experiences of a lifetime. Thank you for opening your magnificent home to us & sharing your generosity of spirit and vision in creating this paradise.
P.S. and your property manager..what a gem! For their infinite patience, sense of humor, culinary prowess & calming patience, and has become a part of our clan & largely responsible for the magic we all felt.

  • The Chateau was the perfect setting for 4 days of relaxing, exploring and eating and drinking

    on 14/06/2012

Thirteen of us came to this wonderful Chateau on a sentimental journey to visit our French relatives, many of whom we had never met! The Chateau was the perfect setting for 4 days of relaxing, exploring and eating and drinking wonderful local produce! The children have taken hide and seek to a new level (hiding & jumping out from alcoves & nooks & crannies was also a great favorite of the grown-ups..) Moms & Dads preferred sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine taking in the breathtaking scenery. We will miss the midnight film show in the most comfortable cinema in France. Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to spend a few days in a piece of living French history.
