This charming manor house, once a monastery over 200 years ago, has been lovingly restored by its welcoming owner using skilled French artisans while carefully preserving its historic character. The result is a relaxing holiday home that blends original features with modern comforts.

The traditional living and dining areas create a warm, restful atmosphere, while the fully equipped kitchen is ideal for family breakfasts or preparing a Norman feast. Upstairs, there is plenty of space with two double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and two twin bedrooms that share a bright bathroom. Throughout the home, large windows fill the rooms with natural light and look out across the gardens and surrounding countryside.

Outside, guests can wander through the spacious gardens, pick apples from the orchard, or relax with a glass of local calvados on a summer evening.

The nearby village, just 2.5km away, offers bakeries, groceries and local produce, while charming market towns such as Condé-sur-Noireau and Clécy are close by. Known as the capital of the picturesque Suisse Normande, Clécy offers kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing, zip-lining and golf.

Further afield, explore Domfront, Bagnoles-de-l’Orne, and Falaise, or visit the historic cities of Caen and Bayeux, the D-Day beaches, and the magnificent Mont Saint-Michel, all within easy reach.

Château Pommiers is a charming manor house located in the Calvados countryside of Normandy, close to the scenic Orne Valley and the picturesque town of Clécy, just over an hour from the ferry port at Caen-Ouistreham. A small village around 2.5km away offers a bakery, café, restaurant and local shops, while the nearest supermarket is only 2km from the property.

The surrounding area is known as the Suisse Normande, famous for its rolling hills, rivers and woodland, making it ideal for walking, cycling, horse riding and outdoor adventures. In nearby Clécy, visitors can enjoy kayaking, canoeing and pedal boating along the River Orne, as well as rock climbing and zip-lining at Rochers des Parcs.

There are also many charming towns to explore, including Domfront, Bagnoles-de-l’Orne and Falaise, home to William the Conqueror’s castle. Historic Caen, the D-Day Landing beaches, and the magnificent Mont Saint-Michel are all within easy reach for memorable day trips.
