Having been renovated only a few years ago, the pivotal focus here was bringing out traditional and natural materials such as metal, stone, wood with leather and wool on the fabric side - and offsetting them with some fantastic contemporary appliances. You can find quite a few traditional and local objects such as old cider press, now reincarnated as a coffee table or wonderful Beaufort cheese casings, now serving as low hanging, dining area lights. You will gasp upon entering the main living floor. The focal point here is the double height of its sofa area, supported by enormous windows with some fantastic views. The views of the peaks are magnified by the chalet’s extra elevated location - absolutely spectacular.
There is more than enough relaxing space for everyone on huge and comfortable sofas, the dining table seating fourteen is nearby alongside an impressive bar - perfect spaces for pre dinner aperitif. Unless you would like to take it to the hot tub, also on this floor, via balconies. Best views just before dinner? Perfect. Anyone missing cinematic experience? A sound-proof cinema room is also here, complete with tiered seating - just like the real thing. Up from here, on the mezzanine - there are two fantastic bedrooms, both en suite, a snug reading corner as well as games area with two comfy leather armchairs. Down one floor from the living area, you will find further four bedrooms, one with a children's annex, all en suite and all decorated impeccably. A floor below houses one more bedroom which could potentially be the most fought for, since it shares the floor with a stunning indoor swimming pool with a waterfall and counter current system, hammam, massage area, and a gym.
- A minivan is on duty through the day 11 a.m. to 17:30 p.m. but may take up to 20 minutes to get to you. Your personal van will be on duty 08:30 a.m. - 11.00 a.m. and again at 17:30 p.m.
- The chalet has 7 full bedrooms and a bunk room which is suitable for Children.
- We recommend pre booking massages and physio treatments as they are always in demand.

The catering at Chalet Shiva is among the finest in the Alps and the owners take pride in an outstanding reputation for food and wine. The wine list is composed by the acclaimed Master of Wine and owner of Savage Selection wines, Mark Savage. Mark brings interesting, small production wines to the table, all deeply characteristic of their origin and beautifully paired with our food. Unlimited Champagne is included in the stay and following blind taste tests the owners chose to serve Taittinger and Veuve Clicquot.
