The very spacious 19th century Chateau De Brabant and Lodge is set in its 300 acre estate with private pool, tennis court, forest and lake offers a unique setting for a family get together, reunion or celebration. The Chateau provides all the features of an elegant bourgeois abode, large fire places, elegant salons, wood panelled dining room.
The Lodge provides additional accommodation in close proximity. Both buildings while full of character and original features also provide the luxury of modern living. Chateau De Brabant allows for a large group to get together with plenty of space for everyone both inside and out, making it an ideal location for spending time with family and friends, with plenty to do on site or nearby for everyone.

- It has probably been standing for over 100 years, which means it's full of historic value and charm but it may also have one or two quirks!

Outside Grounds
The Chateau and Lodge are surrounded by large gardens where you find an all weather tennis court and 15mx6m swimming pool. The pool has a cover so can be used from April to the end of September: The estate also boasts a private forest with trails and lake.

About the surrounding area of Chateau De BrabantChateau De Brabant is located in South Brittany. It is a 45min drive from Rennes and 90 mins from Nantes: both rennes and Nantes gave regular flights from the UK with Easy Jet , Ryan Air (also goes to Dinard) and Flybe: The nearest town (13km) is REDON linked to Paris by the TGV.
The Chateau is located on the outskirts of a small village- Saint Just, famous for its megalithic site and typical inland Brittany countryside. The property boarders a protected parkland area with marked walks and information points. The village of Saint Just comprises of, a village shop with bar, post office with tourist information, baker (morning delivery of croissants, bread possible), restaurant.
The nearest super market is found in the next village Pipriac (15 min drive). Is open everyday , all day Monday to Saturday and sunday morning. Here you can find everything for the household and a good supply of fresh foods. the closely village of La Gacilly - home of Yves Rocher founder of the french equivalent to body shop. The picturesque village has a museum, many restaurants and possibility to hire motor boats on the river. A little further is the larger medieval village Rochefort-en-terre, classed as one of Frances most beautiful villages.
The walled town of Guerande is a good spot for shopping and can be combined with a trip to La Baule- the famous coastal resort. Long sandy beaches can also be found at Penetin and smaller coves at Kervoyal. boats regularly go from Vannes to the small islands in the Morbihan bay providing a nice day out.
Chateau De Brabant can organise activities such as canoeing, rock climbing, donkey rides. The golf course of La Bretesche at Missilac is one of the most beautiful courses in the area, it is a 40 min drive but really worth the trip.

Included in the price of the Chateau is a live in house keeper to help clear after breakfast and keep the Chateau tidy and help you find your way around the property! The house keeper is also on hand to give extra help in the evenings. The Chateau is offered on a self catering basis but by prior arrangement elegant dinners or simple buffet and BBQ's can be organised.
Please note that all extras are subject to availability and must be requested in advance of the holiday (prices on request). Due to some rural/remote locations, not all services will be available at all properties. However, we will always do our best to fulfil your requests!

Chateau De Brabant and its estate is a magnificent venue for weddings and other events. The Chateau, with its neogothic architecture set in its park and gardens, provides a unique setting for any special celebration.
The oak panelled dining room with its adjoining salon is ideal for candlelit dinners (capacity 40).
Weddings and Reception
Chateau De Brabant can easily cater for events with up to 100 guests, with buffet dinners and cocktails being served in the chateau. If you have more than 100 guests, we offer seated dining in our marquee that will be erected in the chateau grounds.
Every event is unique and we are able to adapt to your wishes and budget. The chateau offers a range of possibilities from renting the Chateau and grounds or organising the complete reception. Chateau De Brabant can work in collaboration with a very competent local caterer who likes to use local fresh products. However, the caterer is not imposed and you are welcome to use your chosen caterer.
Please note that any event rental may be subject to additional charges, venue hire fees and to a higher security deposit, which will be in addition to any published rental rates and fees.
All events are on request only and subject to prior agreement from the owner, who reserves the right to refuse all events without their prior authorisation.

Terms & Conditions
The house keeper is on site to help: An English lady will check guests in and help with any queries or problems during the stay, for example booking restaurants, golf etc: The guardian lives at the entrance of the estate and is available to help with any technical problems.
The covered pool is closed at night and the guidelines for pool use must be respected- no food and drink at the pool, not too many people in the pool at any one time, no rough games.
These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Great Stay
We booked the property for a week stay in August and had a fantastic time overall. The building offered great value and was set within fantastic settings. The tennis court, pool, and walking trials were very thoroughly used and much enjoyed. The views of the surrounding countryside were beautiful.
The Chateau itself was architecturally spectacular. The paneled dining room incredibly impressive and the music room a real focus for our stay. The only negative was really the water pressure was low which made for slightly comical washing when all showers were being used at once.
Overall the building, facilities and help given by the owner and staff were fantastic. -

We all had a most enjoyable family weekend and were well looked after by the team. The meals were excellent, the clay pigeon shooting good fun, the sun shone and we had a great time. Even the external meal we had (in the "Le Saison" restaurant in St Gregoire) was superb - a good recommendation if you don't mind the 45 minute drive. Of specific mention was the help given by Uno - he was great and must be a wonderful asset to you. Nothing was too much trouble.

An unforgettable hen do!
We all had an amazing time and the hen loved it. The chateau and surroundings are lovely. Uno was great and took some of the girls on a lovely walk which they all enjoyed. We all took some postcards to show to people.
Thank you for organising our taxi and dinner all was perfect and we really enjoyed the spa too.
