To accommodate groups of different sizes, we offer three accommodation options:

1. Main Chateau - 8-bedroom option (16-person price) This includes eight bedrooms, seven in the west wing and one in the east wing.
2. Main Chateau - 12-bedroom option (24-person price) In addition to the above, guests have access to four further bedrooms located in the east wing.
3. Main Chateau & Annexes - 15-bedroom option (30-person price) In addition to the above, guests have access to one additional bedroom in the east wing and two further bedrooms located in the annexes in the courtyard, approximately 25 metres outside the main château.

Bedrooms will be allocated depending on the number of guests - therefore some bedrooms may be closed off in the case of lower occupancy.

Whichever accommodation option you choose, you will enjoy exclusive access to the grounds throughout your stay.

The château also features further bedrooms (and two annexes) which will be mostly closed off during your stay, depending on the number of guests.

Nestled among the picturesque rolling hills and farmland of the Lot-et-Garonne in south-west France, Château de la Perse is a beautifully restored country estate with origins dating back to the 15th century. Much of the château was rebuilt during the 18th century, resulting in the elegant Neoclassical architecture that defines the property today.

The château can accommodate up to 30 guests in fifteen of its unique en suite bedrooms, with generous living space for families and groups. Its U-shaped layout provides both spacious communal areas and quieter corners for relaxation. While the west wing houses seven of the larger bedrooms and the formal dining room and salon, the east wing features a 62m² grand salon and kitchen, ideal for gathering together for meals, and six additional bedrooms. On the first floor, guests will also find a fully air-conditioned games room with a billiards table, games, card tables and a smart TV.

Set within 8 hectares of private grounds, the estate is surrounded by mature trees, open lawns and native planting that blend naturally into the surrounding countryside. Guests can enjoy peaceful afternoons reading in the gardens, dining al fresco on the terrace, or making use of the heated swimming pool and summer kitchen. Petanque, ping pong and croquet are also available for those looking to enjoy the outdoors.

Despite its rural setting, the château is conveniently located close to two charming villages. Moirax, less than 6 km away, is home to the remarkable 11th-century Cluniac Priory, one of the region's most significant historic monuments. The village also offers a small selection of shops and restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Auberge Le Prieuré.

Just 5.5 km away, the village of Laplume offers local shops, regular farmers' markets and attractive walking and cycling routes, including a botanical trail with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

For a wider range of shopping, dining and cultural attractions, the historic city of Agen is only 15 km from the château. With a history spanning more than two millennia, Agen is easily explored on foot. Visitors can wander through its cobbled streets, admire half-timbered buildings, browse independent boutiques and visit landmarks such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts and Saint-Caprais Cathedral.

Location

Chateau de la Perse is the ideal base for exploring Lot-et-Garonne; a rural region of south-west France which is dotted with some lovely villages and towns to visit. With history, culture, hiking routes and incredible cuisine all on your doorstep, there is something for everyone in your party in this diverse area.

If you would like to spend some time out in nature making memories with family or friends then you are well-placed at this chateau. Near to the chateau you can join the 15km long Brimont- Cap du Bosc trail which you can traverse on foot or by bike to take in some staggering scenery. Within a few kms of the house there are a number of equestrian centres if you would like to explore on horse-back. Choose from lessons for beginners or guided treks for those with experience, you could even pack a gourmet picnic hamper for a special day out.

Another way to make the most of the great outdoors is to visit a local vineyard where you can learn about wine production, take a tour and of course bring back some bottles for dinner! You will find some great vineyards in Buzet-sur-Baïse which is a 35km drive away.

When you need to pick up some groceries or pop out for a coffee then the villages Laplume and Moirax are each under 6km away and have a selection of amenities. You will even find a Michelin-starred restaurant in Moirax which would be the perfect place to book for a celebratory meal.

Agen is the place to go for shopping or sightseeing. Just 15km from the chateau, this bustling historic city has plenty to see and do, you could visit a number of times and still have more to discover. The more modern part of the city has lots of shops, restaurants and markets but head down Rue Beauville into the old town to seek out authentic medieval homes, maze-like cobbled alleys and stunning places of worship. The Saint-Caprais Cathedral is one of the more famous sights and contains some amazing preserved frescoes inside, but do not overlook some of the little churches such as the 13^th-century Chapelle Notre Dame. Escape the heat of the day to take in some great works of art at the Musée des Beaux-Arts which is one of the finest galleries in the south of France. Finally, you could end your day with an early evening boat trip down the Garonne River and a meal in a traditional restaurant.

Another charming place to visit is La Romieu which is 19km away from the house. This village is counted amongst France’s most beautiful and is part of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrim trail. Visit to see the lovely botanical gardens, the Collegiate church which is a UNESCO world heritage site and the medieval fortress. The village is also famous for its association with cats! Legend has it that a peasant girl named Angeline and her pet cats once saved the village from a dreadful famine and today you can see stone statues which honour the cats in the village centre.
