Villa Acamas is in a fantastic spot, quiet but within a short walk of the most fantastic beach and many shops and restaurants.
Fig Tree Bay is Protaras’ jewel in the crown! It was named after a solitary fig tree which stands at the headland of the beach. With its brilliant white sand, fantastic crystal clear water and Blue Flag status, it is the most popular beach, but there are others such as Louma Bay and Vrisri Beach. They are all be buzzing with people, watersports, cafes and restaurants.
Protaras is just a stone’s throw from the tourist hotspot Ayia Napa with its huge range of busy clubs and bars and 14 Blue Flag beaches. Of them, Makronissos Beach leads the way with watersports, whereas the family-friendly Sandy Beach has gently shelving sand. Varosha, a 40-minute drive, was deserted overnight during the Turkish invasion and is now eerie but interesting to see. A short boat trip will take you to Cape Grecko park, which is excellent for nature lovers and fantastic for snorkelling; furthermore, it has amazing views.
