Villa Louis Chris Le Mare Gold is located in the village of Paralimni, near the holiday resort of Protaras on the east coast of the beautiful island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea. The nearest airport is Larnaca International, sixty six kilometres from the villa, a fifty minute drive through the Cyprus countryside. The village of Paralimni has everything you will need to cater for your holiday, including a shopping centre, supermarkets, and some lovely local cafes and bars.
The villa is only 120m to the nearest beach, and within a walkable kilometre there is the holiday town of Protaras with inviting sandy beaches, shallow entry waters, and calm seas. Many of the local beaches offer a selection of watersports, including parasailing, paragliding, waterskis, and jetskis, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The most famous of the them all is Fig Tree Bay, with its stunning soft golden sand, watersports, sun beds and brollies, cafes and bars. Protaras has a reputation as a diving destination, take a boat from the harbour and dive with professional scuba guides and see the underwater worlds of Green Bay, the Blue Hole, Chapel, and Decosta Bay.
Above the town of Protaras there are Hellenistic tombs, and throughout the area and island of Cyprus you can see ancient ruins older than time from Greek, Roman, and Byzantine times. Climb the one hundred and seventy steps to see Illias Profitis Church, well worth it for the frescoes and views from the top. For those who like walking, discover the local flora and fauna with the nature trail from Protaras to Konnos Beach, also famous for some fabulous bird-watching too. Go on an adventure with a jeep safari through the Troodos Mountains, stop of at one of the many vineyards for a wine tasting, see local life in the quaint villages, and make sure you make time to visit Pano Lefkara, famous for its lace making. Take to the water on one of the many daily boat trips, and enjoy a lazy day at sea, swimming and snorkelling, eating and drinking, and if you’re lucky you’ll spot a dolphin or two. Enjoy an evening out in Protaras wining and dining by the seashore, and if its nightlife you are after take a taxi to nearby Ayia Napa, where you can club the night away!
