A dazzling example of traditional architecture and beautiful stone set on the hillside, Villa Karkot is a magnificent home on the sunny northern coast of Cyprus for up to 8 guests.

Your interiors are every bit as beautiful as this striking exterior, with an immense open-plan living space under a vaulted ceiling, and exposed stone interior walls for added charm. There are two large sofas in front of the TV and beside a large set of patio doors which fill the room with warm, natural light and provide immediate access to this fantastic garden. To the other side is your wonderfully modern kitchen with an excellent range of appliances that will provide endless hours of enjoyment. On the lower-ground floor, a second fantastic lounge enjoys terrific views out over your picturesque pool terrace.

There are four bedrooms to choose from, all of which feature a large double bed, so you’ll be incredibly comfortable! Two of the rooms enjoy elegant ensuite facilities, while a third bathroom is shared between the remaining two bedrooms. All three have sparkling bright designs with the same traditional tiling as the rest of this stunning villa. Garden or terrace access from each room ensures you can be up and out in the sunshine in seconds each day, enjoying the finest aspects of holiday life!

On the immediate terrace leading from your main living spaces, you’ll find a stunning alfresco dining area with views extending for miles out across Kyrenia and the shimmering blue sea in the distance. The shimmering highlight of this fabulous garden is undoubtedly your 10m x 5m private pool with a grand roman steps entrance. Beside the pool, you’ll find casual seating galore – including sofas, chairs and the all-important loungers for all of your sunbathing desires! No matter where you pitch up, you’ll have sublime views of the sea and the sparkling rooftops of the town!

High in the hills overlooking the dazzling coastline of the north of Cyprus, Villa Karkot is a dream home for so many reasons – not least its proximity to all the highlights of this fabulous island.

Just 5 minutes away, Kyrenia was once a Venetian harbour town, and its enchanting harbour is still utterly beautiful and something of an icon of the local area, along with its picturesque castle. The town features a magnificent backdrop provided by the Pentadaktylos Mountains and their dramatic forested hillsides. Nowadays it is a cultural and economic hub, with three universities, many hotels and a vibrant nightlife, as well as an annual culture and arts festival.

Stylish beach bars, sophisticated beachfront hotels and romantic hill-top restaurants are dotted across this fabulous coastline, while there are several markets selling fresh, local produce, olives, cheeses, bread and meats. Activities in the region vary greatly, from the extremes of scuba diving and paragliding to the more peaceful golf, snorkelling, hiking or even a little bit of sightseeing!
As this wonderful region benefits from 300 days of sunshine every year, you’re sure to enjoy countless hours in the sun, soaking up the rays and relishing the peace and tranquillity of this unspoilt area.

There are many places of interest in Northern Cyprus, such as the History Museum various abbeys and churches, including the Mavi Kiosk and Bellapais Abbey. The beautiful Karpaz Peninsula boasts a pretty Marina and Golden beach. The Karpas region is rich in subterranean water reservoirs, with fruit, olives and tobacco plentiful. Small villages dotted around the region with their inhabitants living in the same way they have for years.In Famagusta the Ruins of Salamis are a must go, you can also see Othello's Tower and the walled city. Nicosia is the last divided capital of the world; it's great for shopping addicts, as well as history lovers. Kyrenia is excellent for boat trips, and it's worth exploring the harbour and castle. If you are lucky you may see turtles from the boat.

Tucked away on the west coast of the island there is the tranquil Akamas Peninsula, a rich, vibrant and unspoilt landscape filled with deep gorges and sandy bays. Head to the Blue Lagoon (you can take an organised boat tour to it!) for an unforgettable swim spot!

Gastronomes will delight with a visit to Cyprus – the traditional Meze with a whole variety of small hot and cold dishes is a delight, meanwhile kebabs, Lahmacun, Mousaka or Kleftiko are also excellent options.

Departure time Guests are requested to check out by 11:00 on the morning of departure.
Energy costs included? Energy costs are included up until 300Kw per week. 300Kw is deemed as normal usage.
Linen & towels included? Linen, bath towels and pool towels are included in the rental rates.
End of stay cleaning included? End of stay cleaning is included in the price. Guests are required to leave the accommodation tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival.
Minimum stay Minimum stay is 6 nights
Pets welcome? No pets are allowed in the property.
Smoking Allowed? Guests are requested not to smoke inside the property
Other Ts and Cs Please note that on occasions, in Cyprus, extremes in weather can cause water and/ or electric supply to be cut or reduced. Services are normally restored as soon as possible.
Other 2 In Cyprus the plumbing system is not designed to have paper and sanitary items flushed down the lavatory. In these cases a bathroom bin is provided.
Internet access? The property has complimentary Wifi connection. It is good to note that the speed is dependent on local provider and technical issues may cause reduced speed or cut of service.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, personal belongings, public liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Other 3 UK Passport holders automatically get a 30 day approval on entry to the North of Cyprus this is marked into the system upon arrival. Guests will need to give the passports at the border to mark them in the country but no paperwork is needed. Holders of other passports should check with their embassy. The currency of Northern Cyprus is Turkish Lira but USD, EURO and GBP are accepted in many establishments.
