You can enjoy exploring some of the famous forts, palaces and cathedrals Croatia can offer, all within an hour’s drive.
An hour’s drive north is famous Krka national park. The park is home to a unique UNESCO world heritage site, the Skradinski falls. These stunning waterfalls cascade down the mountain into wonderful pools, these are perfect for jumping and swimming in throughout the day to escape the heat. The national park is a fantastic place for a day trip as there is a huge array of cycling, walking and even quad bike touring available. If these aren’t for you, there are also several fantastic boat trips from Skradin. A particularly excellent trip is a boat ride to the isolated monastery of Visovac.
