Villa Drazen presents a stay that is steeped in history and your first glance at the mix of Gothic and Renaissance architecture used to design the dwelling will transport you back to its 16th Century beginnings. Nestled on the shores, Villa Drazen uses natural vegetation across its grounds to offer an organic style of privacy, beautiful settings and delightful fragrances outdoors. Indoors, rooms have been updated to showcase contemporary designs and have been finished with stylish décor!
The living area greets you as you enter and has been finished to present stately settings. Choose to lounge in the first space, with plump, vividly coloured sofas which will entice you to chatter away or simply sprawl out on the cushioned seats! Through this room, lounge with all eight guests on another sofa and watch movies on satellite television. The kitchen sits behind this room and is fully-equipped, so should you choose to cook, you will have nothing to worry about for your food-prep needs! Indoors, dinner can be served in the dining room, or on the terrace for alfresco dining amidst breathtaking views of the bay and sea beyond. You can even digest meals at the lounge area on this terrace!
Four bedrooms complete the second floor, perfectly accommodating the maximum capacity Villa Drazen holds! To ensure you are constantly at peace of mind, each bedroom comes equipped with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom assuring there is no need for any guests to compromise! Wake up in the morning to views of the sea from the room as you sip a coffee!
Outdoors, the villa's immense land has been put to excellent use. In contrast to the interior, the exterior showcases the natural rock used to construct this amazing villa and sits superbly amongst the rich green garden! Here, swing-set chairs and cosy seating have been laid out around immaculate lawns and palm trees, cypress, olives, and seasonal flowers! Step across the lawn to the fabulous patio area, where you can bask in the rays of the sun on loungers or cool off in the Roman Step pool, all the while sublime vistas across the sea serve as a backdrop for your time outside!
What you should know…
- Most beaches in the area feature pebble stone so you will have to do some research to find those with sand!
- Car Hire will allow you to quickly reach places and explore as much as you can although the country boasts an incredibly diverse transportation system for your travelling needs!
- During the summer months, there is an hourly boat connection Dubrovnik-Cavtat-Dubrovnik with a quick stop in Mlini.

Excellent for winding down and escaping the hub of activity that keeps Dubrovnik buzzing, Mlini provides all you will need to have yourself a tranquil stay! Aside from the two beaches mentioned above, Mlini offers you places to dine on freshly caught fish, a staple of this seafront town as well as international dishes at its promenade! The promenade along the coast offers fashion stores and modern shops whilst inwards, the area offers traditional Croatian shops where you can buy native merchandise or fresh groceries! Villa Drazen supports up to eight guests, which means grandad and grandma can join in on the getaway! The bedrooms all host king-sized beds and en-suite facilities, making it easy to settle the sleeping arrangements and cots can also be requested to cater to the littlest amongst the group!
The villa itself hosts complimentary Wi-fi so children who may not want to watch the satellite channels on the LCD TV can surf their devices and instantly upload photos and snaps of their wonderful holiday onto their social media sites! Lounge areas offering colourful and lovely sofas in different rooms provide both personal space and together time with family!
The kitchen is fully-equipped so meals can be prepared when the family doesn't want to leave the house and a barbecue grill and kitchenette outside affords alfresco dinners for the whole family to enjoy with the beautiful sea as a background!
Outside children are free to frolic to their heart's content in the lawn area, where palm trees can provide shade and a place to disconnect and achieve some bliss. There are multiple seating offerings for adults and children alike to grab a drink from the kitchen and sway on swing-seats, relax on cushioned L-shaped sofas or take it easy on a sun-loungers and zone out to music! The pool is glorious and will provide much-needed relief and fun for children and adults and has been stepped so everyone can access it!
The local area provides two beaches, where kids can splash in the waters and adults can recline on loungers on the beach! Kids can snorkel at these beaches whilst older children can try some diving and a range of water-sports! Cafes and restaurants nearby and across the Mlini promenade will keep hunger and thirst at bay and a trip to Dubrovnik on water-taxi is not to be missed! Dubrovnik offers encounters with animals, chances to float across the city, food and drink kids love as well as a whole host of other activities! Beautiful, conveniently located, traditional villa with wonderful views
This super villa is a few steps away from the sea and a friendly bar with restaurants within a very short walk. It's also close to the harbour where you can pick up a boat to Dubrovnik. The grounds of the villa has places for sun lovers and those who prefer shade - including a lovely terrace which overlooks the coast. Katarina was an excellent host, who really wanted us to have the best possible experience in this very special place.
