Villa Taika is the perfect example of a relaxed holiday atmosphere; this traditional stone house with charming green shutters, comprises itself of bright and airy, modern living areas, with a delightful terrace overlooking the sea. Located in the centre of Sumartin, a port town on Brac island, this fabulous villa offers the utmost in peace and tranquillity. You will find the beautiful beach, several authentic restaurants and lovely shops, all within a short walking distance. Situated adjacent to the port, you can even buy freshly caught fish from the local fisherman ready to take home and cook up on the barbecue!
From the moment you step inside Villa Taika you can settle in. The villa is furnished in a relaxed, modern style throughout, with every room flooded with light, the property is bright and airy perfect for those who adore the sunshine! The main living space is open plan, with a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast table and a comfy sofa. From here you can step straight out the door to the terrace, or enjoy the laid-back and informal atmosphere, perfect for family meals or settling down to watch some television. On the upper floors, there are three good sized bedrooms; two doubles and one twin room, as well as two modern bathrooms. The upper floor boasts beautiful views over the port that are breathtaking to wake up to.
The main draw of Villa Taika must be the huge outdoor terrace. With several aspects to it, there is ample room to spend time together as well as finding moments of peace and tranquillity to yourself. The main part of the terrace boasts the fabulous private swimming pool where you can cool off from the Croatian sunshine or lounge around on the sunbeds topping up your sun tan! Adjacent to the pool there is a charming, covered terrace with space to dine and cook al-fresco on the barbecue, making the most of the warm climate. There is also a lovely garden with trees offering moments of shade and privacy from the sunshine. Villa Taika offers something for everyone!

- Brac island offers some wonderful towns and beaches, a car can make it easier to explore!
- The town of Sumartin is quieter than the more touristic areas of Croatia, so better suited to guests who are looking for some peace and quiet

About the surrounding area of Villa TaikaThis beautiful villa is located in the charming town of Sumartin on the island of Brac. With a fabulous private location, you may find it hard to leave the villa at all! Sumartin is a quiet little town in the south east of Brac Island. It has a laid-back atmosphere with friendly bars, cafes and restaurants serving fresh seafood and local cuisine. There is a good bakery, vegetable/greengrocer shop and supermarket. Everything you need plus peace and quiet. This wonderful area would be better for those looking to escape the busier, more touristic areas of Croatia. There is also a beautiful beach, perfect for swimming.
From Sumartin, you can hire a boat or take a ferry to explore the magical surrounding islands of Makarska and Hvar, both famed for their beautiful towns and scenery. Or stay closer to home, exploring the coastline of Brac, with water sports and sailing available allowing you to see Croatia from a unique angle!
Brac Island itself is the longest and most elevated island in central Dalmatia. Despite its proximity to Split, Brac is less touristy than the glittering islands of Hvar and Korcula further south. Make sure you try some of the olive oil on the island, the olives are of a rare variety called buhavica and there's over a half-million trees! Famous for the Zlatni Rat beach, known to be one of the most beautiful beaches you can visit, a real gem on the island! Using this stunning villa as a base, you can explore some of these treasures on the island.

Amazing villa, stunning location
The villa and location were the perfect set up for our family holiday. The villa was amazing and Sumartin had everything we needed right on the doorstep - beaches, bars, restaurant and supermarket. Angela, our host was so welcoming, helpful and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!
