Nestled in the heart of St. Lucia’s highly sought after Cap Estate, Bella Vista offers Caribbean cosiness at its finest. Surrounded by stunning views, this three bedroom, three bath villa will have guests feeling right at home in no time.

Bella Vista sits at the northern-most point of St. Lucia, about 90 minutes from Hewanorra International Airport or 30 minutes from George F. L. Charles Airport. Though that may seem far away, it’s definitely worth the journey. As soon as you arrive it’s hard not to fall in love with the traditional Caribbean architecture

Inside, Bella Vista boasts a fully-functional kitchen which you can use to cook up delicious meals during your stay. Or, for those days you just want to kick back and relax while someone else takes care of meals during the day time, the property offers a housekeeper/cook service on weekdays who will create authentic St. Lucian dishes for you to discover. Besides the kitchen is a cosy separate dining area which can comfortably sit six guests around its table.

Continuing on from the Kitchen and dining area, you’ll find a bright and inviting living space with cool white tiled floors, white-washed walls and flashes of blue interiors, perfectly complementing the unbeatable views offered from the balcony. From the living space, two large patio doors open seamlessly onto the wooden balcony which provides ample lounging furniture and a secondary group seating area for warm nights enjoying the view.

Just a few steps down from the balcony, you’ll find a simple patio area complete with a barbecue, sun loungers and one of Bella Vista’s most attractive offerings; the pool. Located right at the edge of the patio, your private pool offers unparalleled views of the Cap Estate and beyond.

Back inside the house, you have your choice of three equally-sized bedrooms - each with their own bathrooms and air-conditioning units to help you escape the Caribbean heat. You’ll find relaxed home-like décor across all three rooms, two double rooms and one twin room, making you truly feel like a guest in a loving home.

At Bella Vista, your home away from home benefits from all the mod-cons you need to enjoy your holiday, including Wi-Fi throughout the property, clothes washing and drying facilities. Your housekeeper/cook will visit throughout the week, as well as a gardener and pool person to maintain the property.

About the Island & Getting There

About St Lucia

The Land, The People, The Light – St Lucia’s motto couldn’t be more representative of this captivating sovereign island nation. Witness dazzling scenery, be spellbound by the fascinating locals and allow for St Lucia to brighten your day and show you a new way to life.

St Lucia gained its independence from the British Commonwealth in 1979 and after centuries of a French presence, which is most visible today in the original Capital of Soufrière, St Lucia is famous for its Pitons & landscapes and vivacious community.

St Lucia really is a hiker’s Nirvana! Where to start? That’s a tough question. However, with the likes of - The Diamond Botanical Gardens, Enbas Saut Waterfall Trail, Pigeon Island National Park, Sulphur Springs Park Scenic Drive and Tet Paul Nature Trail – it doesn’t matter! These UNESCO listed sites are a sight to behold. If you're likely to take to the water, you'll be able to admire the rich marine biodiversity just off the shore of St Lucia. Over 60% of the marine area is made up of coral reefs and these are very poular with snorkelers and scuba divers. Just make sure you put time aside to relish these privileged land & seascapes.

Start your cultural trip downtown in Castries. Here you will be provided with more than enough entertainment for an afternoon and evening. The local Market runs throughout the week and is certainly the right place to come for exotic fruits and tantalising Street Food - the Green Fig & Salt Fish is local delicacy and it's not scarce, so perhaps try a few variants on this regional intricacy and let us know which is your favourite! The vendors are incredibly animated, so expect a show to be put on if you choose to explore this part of the island and brush up on those haggling skills. La Place Carenage and Point Seraphine are very popular Malls and if you bear in mind the added incentive of these complexes being Duty-Free, you and your guests will certainly get some good deals (A taxi back to your villa after such an excursion is suggested!).

Many holiday makers are surprised to learn of St Lucia’s rich cocoa legacy. Ever since the 1700’s this island has been producing cocoa related products, that are incredibly sought after all across the world. Morne Coubaril Estate and La Dauphine Estate specialise in showcasing how plantations use to gather & manufacture the Cocoa Bean fruit and organise educational tours. After learning all about St Lucia’s former booming cocoa industry, you will probably need some therapy…how about chocolate therapy like you’ve never encountered before? Enquire at some of the islands more renowned Spas and you’ll be able to experience the benefits of a chocolate facial and massage. Remember - Chocolate isn’t a food, it’s a medicine!

We have selected some of the most exciting villas on the island, so browse through these dreamy holiday homes and have a look at our cheeky little guide to St Lucia!

Prior to Booking

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages

Please note Bella Vista does not permit children under the age of 12, but there is a lot to do in the area for older children.

Thanks to its location, Bella Vista is the perfect place for older children to escape from the troubles of teenhood with family and friends. Comfortably accommodating up six people, children are more than welcome to bring friends along during their stay. With Wi-Fi included throughout the property, teens have plenty of places to unwind – whether that be basking in the sun on the wrap-around balcony, by the pool or in their room.

The immediate area itself is a tranquil area, meaning you’ll need to go slightly further afield to find activities for older children to get involved in. But once you’re out there there’s plenty to see and do.For kids who enjoy the adventurous side of life, Pigeon Point is an excellent place to visit. Settled in the 16th century by French Pirates, kids can explore the island and learn all about St. Lucia’s fascinating naval history.

Down in Gros Islet, teens can entertain themselves on Reduit Beach, home to the Splash Island Water Park. With various visitor packages on offer, kids can spend anywhere from an hour to a full day at the islands first open-water sports park.

If you’re in Castries, the Rainforest Adventures Aerial Tram Tour is an hour-long tree-top adventure through the lush green St. Lucian landscape where you’ll be able to explore the local wildlife from a panoramic open-top cable car. Also in Castries, you’ll find the incomparable Sea Trek Helmet Diving Tour. The perfect mid-ground between snorking and scuba diving, the helmet diving tour takes older kids beneath St. Lucia’s crystal clear waters to discover what it’s like under the sea like never before. Watch them walk along the seabed amongst seahorses, trumpet fish and more without the need for complex scuba equipment.

For a day out, head about 90 minutes south to reach the town of Soufriere. Here kids can visit the Diamond Botanical Gardens, full of the island’s beautiful flora and boasting more than its fair share of sharable photo spots, perfect for older kids on the lookout for the ultimate ‘Instagrammable’ locations. And while you’re in the area, be sure not to miss Sulphur Springs Park. Known as the worlds ‘only drive-in volcano’, Sulphur Springs is a one-of-a-kind experience that will leave lifelong memories. Kids, and adults, will learn all about St. Lucia’s volcanic geology as well as soaking in the benefits of mud baths, geothermal springs and waterfalls.
