Pippin is situated in the heart of Broadway, a peaceful village surrounded by fields and woods that are perfect for countryside walks and bicycle rides due to the myriad of local country lanes and footpaths.

Within a few minutes walking distance are two pubs: The Bell Inn, Broadway and The Five Dials at Horton. There are several others a little further afield but nevertheless worth the visit.

Nearby the cottage are Dillington House and Barrington Court, two National Trust historic homes with beautiful gardens open to the public. Dillington House being 6.4 km away by car and Barrington Court being 12.4km.

There are several local cider producers whose orchards and presses are worth seeing close by. Perry's Cider Mill in Dowlish Wake has a small museum on offer and open all year round besides Christmas Day. There is also The Somerset Cider Brandy Company over at Burrow Hill that offers tastings and guided tours a little further field.

A little further away the beach at Lyme Regis and walks along the Jurassic coastline are 40mins or so to the South.

    Beautiful accommodation, excellent location.

  • Stylish and modern

    on 06/07/2022

This cottage is absolutely amazing even better than the photos, so modern and chic yet cosy and homely at the same time!
Glenda is the perfect host and greeted us on arrival, the surrounding area is beautiful with lots of great country walks and things to do, the bed was really comfortable and I had such a good nights sleep. It’s definitely one of the best holiday homes we have visited, if your thinking of booking don’t hesitate you won’t be disappointed!

  • Beautiful cottage

This is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Everything was immaculate and clean. The location is fantastic, two lovely doggy friendly pubs just a short stagger away. Could not recommend more highly.

  • We had a wonderful stay

    on 30/05/2022

Such a beautiful, super stylish cottage with everything you need and more!
It has clearly been sensitively restored and a real joy to spend a week in. The village is perfect for walks and the two local pubs are really friendly and serve great beer and decent pub food.
So many wonderful places to visit in the area and we particularly enjoyed popping into the town of Iminster most mornings which is just five minutes away for really great coffee and pastries at the Market Bakery and there’s also an amazing butchers/pie shop just along the High Street.
Glenda is a wonderful host and we would stay here again in a heartbeat as it really was perfect in every way.

  • Cosy cottage and a great location

    on 04/04/2022

Accommodation was lovely, inviting, beautifully decorated. The wood burning stove was perfect for the chilly early April evenings with logs provided. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable. Tea, coffee and milk was available on our arrival with a box of chocolates in the fridge as a bonus. Two local pubs were in walking distance (both accept dogs), The Bell Inn just down the road and The Five Dials Inn about a 5/10 minute walk away, we ate here and the food was good. Approximately 30 minute drive to Lyme Regis which is definitely worth a visit, very pretty. Host answered all our queries quickly and popped by to say hello on the first night. Lovely stay, thank you.
