- Finnie Castle is part of a large estate, also home to a separate lodge (not too close to the castle) that is rented out separately – you will pass the lodge on the driveway. It’s also worth noting that the driveway to the castle is a public footpath.
- The helpful Groundsman lives on site and is available throughout your stay.
- Due to the historic nature of this exceptional castle, some parts of the castle are reached via narrow staircases and the grounds around the castle are on different levels in parts. Careful child supervision is required.
- There is no step-free access to the castle. Access to the castle ground floor via the main entrance involves stairs, and there is a further staircase to the kitchen (served by an external stair lift). Ground-floor bedrooms are available in the castle wing; guests with accessibility requirements should discuss their needs at the time of enquiry.
- Guests can use the estate's shared tennis court - please pack your own racquets and balls.
