River Severn Mansion offers the ideal space for hen and stag parties, birthday parties, family celebrations and friend’s get-togethers! Boasting beautifully furnished rooms and breath-taking views, along with an indoor, heated swimming pool and a games room, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Set in half an acre of land, the property benefits from views across the River Severn, such that you can enjoy views of the surfers riding the Severn Bore and the calming sounds of water.
The River Severn Mansion is approached via a gravelled driveway, with electric gates and security, there is ample off-road parking for the whole group. On approach, the house offers a quintessential charm and elegance and as you step through the front door the warm atmosphere of the property continues to be evident. You can choose to cook for yourselves or be catered for whilst putting your feet up, lighting the open fires and remembering what quality time with your friends and family is all about! The house provides abundant space for everyone to spend time together as well as to finding moments of peace and quiet to yourself. Throughout the property there are four reception rooms, including a sitting room with a wood burning stove, a spacious dining room, a kitchen/breakfast room, four bath/shower rooms, two cloakrooms and nine bedrooms. You will also find a separate lodge house, with a games room with table tennis, a pool table and table football, so the championships can begin from the moment you arrive! Downstairs there is a cinema room and space for two more guests to sleep.
The luxurious heated indoor swimming pool has French doors opening to the garden with access to the River Severn. The garden itself provides a tranquil setting for the whole group, with outdoor seating, sun loungers and a lawned area, all in view of the glistening waters of the river. River Severn Mansion is the perfect setting for a magical holiday, a place to spend time with the people you love, eat delicious food and give yourself a bit of well-deserved pampering.

About the surrounding area of River Severn MansionThe River Severn Mansion is located about 5 miles from Gloucester. Set in half an acre of land, the property benefits from beautiful views across the River Severn. The house is approached via a gravelled driveway, with electric gates and security, there is ample off-road parking for the whole group, with space for up to 20 cars. The rustic Red Lion pub is located nearby, should you wish to pop out for a pint during your stay. Also in the nearby area you will find, Cheltenham Racecourse, Chepstow Racecourse, Gloucester Rugby Club and fantastic places for outdoor activities such as climbing, mountain biking, kayaking and paintballing! For children visiting, there is also Go Ape nearby, the Cotswolds water park and Birdland, so there is plenty to keep you busy and entertained should you decided to leave the River Severn Mansion. The nearest train station is Gloucester and Bristol and Birmingham airports are only about an hour’s drive from the property.
The property itself offers a tranquil and peaceful setting, where the highest levels of noise come from the river waters! With a picturesque garden and river views there is really no need to leave the property at all! Guests can fish from the river bank; however, you will need a rod licence which is easy to obtain from the post office. The house is excellently located for watching the famous Severn Bore, so make sure you check the tide times during your stay. This fabulous location offers something for the whole group, an ideal retreat for friends and loved ones.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
22 of us stayed here this weekend, it’s an amazing house, big but still homely. It was brilliant to be able to sit us all around the table for meals. This kids loved the pool and we loved the outdoor spaces and games room. Cazz was an amazing host, so helpful and accommodating. Lovely to be so close to the river. It was lovely to touch to leave welcome champagne, chocolates and balloons to celebrate my birthday. I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful house to anyone looking for a large venue. Would love to go back!

Wonderful house for a family reunion
This spacious, warm and comfortable character property was the ideal place for our international family to get together and celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The spacious living room and separate sitting room meant that we could all be together when we wanted, or split up into smaller groups.The huge dining room with its lovely, large, square table was ideal for our group of 20 to share meals together.
The indoor swimming pool was larger than we expected (10m x 4m at a guess) and great for early morning swims, or energetic water volleyball matches.
The children and teenagers loved sharing the massive dormitory and talking late into the night, and the games room with a quality pool table and air hockey game.
The owner was the perfect host and made sure that the house was lovely and warm for our arrival and also organised a delicious pavlova as a birthday cake for my mother. After the rental she was also prompt in returning us 100% of our deposit, once she had checked that there were no damages.
In short, a wonderful property and a wonderful rental experience. -
Fantastic venue
We booked River Severn Mansion for a family reunion in November for 16 adults and 10 kids under 10 years of age!! The house has a beautiful location on the river and when the weather wasn't great the kids loved playing in the fab pool. The owner was incredibly helpful and i'd highly recommend this venue.

Favourite rental!
Stayed for the second time and didn’t disappoint….. we had 20 people with room for more…..kids loved the pool, teens the SkySports and the adults the riverside setting which is gorgeous, there’s even a friendly butcher next door who provided a fantastic barbeque for us……my family’s favourite rental from the 20+ that we stayed at over the last few years for holiday weekends…..

Would recommend!
We hired this house for a family get together 18 of us in total. Everyone enjoyed the indoor pool,cinema room and games area. River Severn Mansion has a fantastic location with private access to the River Severn from the garden. Interior decor is very tasteful and quality furniture completes the whole package. We were also fortunate to experience very sunny weather so were able to make good use of the ample outside patio and garden areas.
Would recommend this house to anyone.

Outstanding!
I booked the house for my best friend’s stag do and it was absolutely amazing! The house itself is outstanding, and it’s location is stunning - we spent hours by the river and the fire pit late on our last night, and it was just so wonderful.
The facilities are amazing, with plenty of space for large groups, a dining room suitable for 20+ diners and a fantastic indoor pool! The new cinema room was great to sit and watch a few choice vids, the game room got plenty of action from our pool players, and everyone commented that it was the nicest venue they’ve been to for a stag do.
