Overlooking olive groves, rolling hills and vineyards, just 8km inland from the historic town of Monopoli and the nearest beaches, Trullo Riparo is a beautiful home in the perfect location. From your base at the villa, you are well-placed for exploring the countryside as well as spending time visiting towns such as Polignano a Mare and Alberobello.
The home sits in a vast, leafy garden which is further surrounded by 60 hectares of private meadows and lavender fields. This setting offers guests a serene oasis where you can immerse yourself in the natural surroundings and enjoy time away from the stresses of day-to-day life. The villa itself is made up of two, centuries-old Trullo buildings; these pretty, whitewashed buildings with cone-shaped roofs are only found in Puglia and blend seamlessly in the surrounding landscape. While the exteriors of the trulli have been preserved and look unchanged, the interiors have been carefully restored and updated by an experienced architect in order to maintain the charm and character of the building.
The welcoming home offers a living space with a large curved sofa, a cosy kitchen and two bedrooms. The master bedroom is light and airy and opens out on to the garden, there is a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and even an outdoor bathroom where you can shower or bathe al-fresco in the balmy evenings. There is also another spacious double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. If you need to accommodate six guests, two people can sleep on the double sofa bed which is located on a mezzanine level.
In addition to the smaller kitchen within the home, there is a large, fully-equipped kitchen just outside on a covered terrace. The weather here is often wonderful, so you are sure to wish to make the most of your time outdoors! Next to the kitchen there is also a spacious, shaded dining terrace with an atmospheric fireplace for cosy evenings in the garden.
Outdoors you will also find a private swimming pool, seating areas and a vast garden filled with lawns, floral shrubbery and olive trees. The home is enveloped by a patchwork of fields and olive groves which lead out on to country trails where you can walk, hike or cycle. You could also enjoy the great outdoors by visiting a local vineyard or taking a trip to Savelletri’s famous golf courses which are 21km away by car.
The nearest major town to the villa is Monopoli; an ancient, coastal town which is 8km away. The town is a picturesque place which has everything you could need during your holiday. You will find historic attractions, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants lining the busy streets. In addition to the amenities, there are also gorgeous beaches such as Cala Porta Vecchia which is the main beach offering soft sand and clear waters. As well as Monopoli, guests can also visit the exclusive town of Polignano a Mare which is just 10km away and is a must visit location!
