Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Bay View is ideal for families with its fabulous living space and delightful outdoor space. The pool is wonderful and the views exceptional. The villa is just moments from Sivota so you can be dining in waterside restaurants and lazing on the beach very quickly.
This gorgeous Epirus region is wonderful for family holidays with plenty of idyllic beaches with watersports and stunning scenery. Children love taking the boat trips available from Sivota or hiring your own boat. They can jump off the boats and swim in unknown, crystal clear waters and laze on isolated beaches far from the crowds, visit picturesque harbours, dive and enjoy the fascinating underwater life. There are more than twelve islands close to Sivota that you can visit. Sivota Boats is just one of the companies that provides boat hire and offers a fantastic water adventure to families. Another company is Occhi Verdi Boating who offer the services of a friendly, professional skipper. If you take an organised cruise to Parga and the islands, you will probably be offered a barbecue as part of the trip.
Parga is a fabulous, friendly seaside town that families adore. It is enveloped in pine clad mountains and full of pretty terracotta-roofed houses that are painted different colours. There are tiny little islands dotted around the bay, including Panagia which is topped with a whitewashed chapel. Parga enjoys beautiful beaches including the town beach Kryoneri which faces Panagia Island. Piso Kryoneri is next to it, a very pretty cove with a sand and pebble beach. Valtos is just over the headland with its tavernas, watersports and fine sand. Little boats ferry in and out of the harbour taking visitors on trips. The harbour is very lively and boasts gorgeous little shops where children can buy souvenirs.
The Acheron River is a half hour drive from Parga Town, one of the famous landmarks of the ancient world. It is believed that souls of the dead passed on their way to Hades there. Along the river’s banks, you can visit the 5000 year old Necromanteion, an eerie temple where priests were supposed to have communicated with the dead. There are so many ancient monuments to discover in this amazing region. Another wonderful trip is to the island of Paxos.
