Only 2km from the pretty village of Paradou, this beautifully restored 19th-century mas invites guests to experience the character and timeless charm of a traditional Provençal farmhouse. Surrounded by over a hectare of picturesque gardens, dotted with lavender and olive trees, Sous Les Étoiles offers gorgeous views across the countryside of Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park.
Inside, the interiors reflect a graceful balance between authenticity and comfort. Original stone floors, exposed wooden beams, and muted earthy tones provide a warm backdrop for vintage furnishings and colourful decorative touches. Each of the five air-conditioned bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom, creating a welcoming retreat for up to ten guests. The generously sized beds (with the flexibility of twin configuration in several rooms) add a thoughtful touch for both families and groups of friends.
The brilliantly equipped kitchen opens onto a shaded terrace, ideal for leisurely breakfasts or long lunches that stretch into the afternoon. The farmhouse also benefits from a glorious swimming pool, perfect for long summer days. Whether swimming, playing pétanque, or enjoying a friendly table tennis match, the setting is designed for relaxation and connection.
A short drive from Paradou and Maussane-les-Alpilles, guests are within easy reach of traditional bakeries, wonderful bistros and a Thursday morning market. The farmhouse’s location within Les Alpilles makes it ideal for exploring walking trails, olive groves, and historic villages scattered through the hills including Les Baux-de-Provence, one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’.
This is a place to slow down and savour the rhythm of southern France—where morning coffee is sipped to the hum of cicadas, and each day ends with the golden light dancing across olive branches. A stay here promises simple pleasures, shared moments, and lasting memories.
