  • A Great stay!

    on 04/06/2023

Wonderful and quiet space with all the facilities you could wish for. Host welcome was charming and thoughtful. Recommended!

  • Utterly Amazing!!

    on 30/07/2019

We have just got back from the most amazing weekend in this fabulous castle! We hired it for my 60th birthday and invited family and close friends oh and 2 dogs! A fabulous weekend was had by all the castle is in stunning position with fantastic views it has everything you could want for all age groups. The function turret was great for our games/disco events and we had great times in the pool and the games turret. There was ample rooms/turrets for sleeping meaning everyone had there own bit of space after the days/evenings events. The kitchen was very well equipped for dining in but also there was the option of takeaway deliveries. The grounds were great for games lots of which were available for use in the castle e.g. croquet, badminton etc. A big thanks to the team who met us showed us around and made us feel at home and very welcome. The owner was available beforehand to answer any questions we had about the property and fitted us in so we could have a viewing beforehand.

  • Wonderful break so much more than we could have imagined!

    on 16/04/2014

We have just returned from our short break at C17th Castle, and would like you to know how very much we enjoyed it. We had the castle all to ourselves and explored every turret! The master suite had wonderful views of the sea and surrounding countryside, and yes, we could see Wales too. The only company we had were two Easter bunnies munching their way through the grass outside, although we understand deer make an appearance from time to time. The castle was pleasantly furnished in a faded elegant way and the chandeliers were splendid. There was a high standard of cleanliness. The sheets were white and fresh and there was an abundance of towels for bath and pool. The pool was a good size and temperature and we made good use of it. It was possible to walk along the sea side which was accessed by a path to the left of the nearby golf club. We would recommend taking walking boots and trainers for rain/sun walking. Three major supermarkets are within a ten minute drive of the castle. We would like to make special mention of Neil who made our stay so relaxing. Last but not least we would like to thank you for this wonderful prize and your generosity in giving it. Our very best wishes to you all
