There’s something captivating about three-bedroom Villa Leanne. Decorated in a luxurious and modern style, the impressive architecture and interior will immediately catch your eye with its unique design and high-quality furnishings. Striking out on its own in the heart of Ovacik, Turkey, you’ll find it not within a busy area but nestled in quiet serenity, surrounded by trees and flowers.

From the Jacuzzi tubs in two of the bedrooms to the cushioned round beds, each aspect of the villa has been given complete attention to detail to ensure you have an utterly tranquil stay. An antidote to modernity, it nods to sophistication with statement light features (both inside and out), decorative balconies and rooms adorned with bespoke art. The expansive open-plan living, kitchen and dining area has a large corner sofa and floor-to-ceiling doors letting in the natural light.

Outside is more decadent still, with a covered pool which can be open or closed, a table tennis and pool table for your entertainment, and a light-lit terrace dotted with cushioned wicker chairs and sun beds where you can lounge like Erlik, presiding over your own scandalously luxurious underworld. There’s also an al fresco dining table, seating up to eight, so you can enjoy soaking up the breath-taking sunset over a glass of wine or the welcoming sunrise over your morning coffee.

Each of the rooms has an en-suite, dressing table and plenty of wardrobe space for storing your swimwear and flowing kaftans, while the master and double bedrooms have an LCD TV for evenings in. For your peace of mind, there’s also a safe in the master room. Extra ‘luxe’ features include a garden swing and a hammock for peacefully whiling away the afternoon.

Located in Ovacik, a small suburb in the Fethiye district, the villa is just a short walk from local restaurants and shops, as well as the main bus route between Oludeniz beach and Fethiye town if you’d like to explore this beautiful area of Turkey. Despite its proximity to all the action, the villa remains completely private, and the grounds can’t be looked into from the outside at all.

Villa Leanne is in the heart of Ovacik, an area in the Fethiye district of Turkey. The villa is in a quiet spot surrounded by greenery and is only a 50-metre walk to a market, local restaurants and the local Dolmus (bus service). It’s also only 2km to the centre of Ovacik with more amenities and 4km to the nearest sandy beach with clear and calm waters that are perfect for swimming.

If you’re looking for peace and serenity, Ovacik is an ideal choice. You’ll find some of the best beaches on the Turquoise Coast along this stretch, boasting soft sands and warm waters, creating the perfect conditions for couples, friends and families who want to enjoy some tranquil time together. There are also more vibrant and livelier resorts in the nearby area, including Hisaronu.

You can catch the Dolmus to Hisaronu, Olu Deniz or to Fethiye, where you can visit the museum and see ancient rock tombs including the 4th-century B.C. Tomb of Amyntas. There’s also a fresh fish market in Fethiye and other markets that sell everything from homemade rugs to produce. You can sample the local delicacy – delicious gözleme (thin dough crepes) – or visit a Turkish Bath for a relaxing afternoon massage or scrub.

For nature lovers and walkers, the Lycian Way, a series of paths is a popular choice. You can join the route at specific points, and it takes you to cultural sites like Kayakoy Ghost Town, an abandoned Greek village, and remote beaches like Cold Water Bay. The paths also go to the monastery ruins of Afkule, which are dramatically perched on cliff ledges above the Aegean Sea.

For fun family-friendly day trips, the bus also stops at famous Oludeniz Beach, or you could even reach it via boat. The turquoise lagoon at Oludeniz has prime swimming and snorkelling waters, and plenty of opportunities to take part in water sports. You can also visit Butterfly Valley (about 24km from Fethiye) – a serene nature reserve that’s home to diverse butterfly species.

Fethiye

Situated on the ancient city of Telmessos, Fethiye is named after one of its most famous ‘sons’, the aviator Fethi Bey. An earthquake in 1957 damaged central Fethiye, so many of its buildings have been built since then. You can, however, see a Lycian theatre, Lycian tombs (including the rock tomb of Amyntas) and visit the Fethiye museum for more history and artefacts. The centre of Fethiye boasts a covered market area, half of which is given over to the local fish market where you can choose your catch from one of the centre stalls and then get it cooked in any of the surrounding restaurants. The whole of the area is shadowed by the mountain of Babadag where paragliders take to the skies, landing on the beach at Olu Deniz.

Fethiye’s Tuesday market is worth a visit. Traders come from the outlying villages to sell the wares from their smallholdings. Furrowed browed men with cloth caps, and ladies in floral bloomers will sell their produce amongst the lads trying to get you to buy their designer fakes! It’s all in good humour. Try a little bartering and see if you can do some good business. Go to the spice stall and you will get some amazing spices. Look for the Kar Serbeti, like a cinnamon slush or Ayran, a salty yoghurt drink both guaranteed to cool you down.

Olu Deniz & Calis are where people tend to flock for a beach but there are now a few private beach clubs along the coast between Olu Deniz and Fethiye which are worth a visit. There are also beach clubs situated around the lagoon, all with sunbeds, restaurants and drinks service. Hisaronu is more commercialised and hosts a large selection of bars, restaurants and gift shops.

With a private swimming pool, a jacuzzi, billiard table and a large terrace area with shaded playing spots, Villa Leanne is an ideal villa for families.
The villa is a short walk from Ovacik village with amenities including restaurants, markets and shops. You can also catch the local bus from Ovacik to more lively resorts like Fethiye. In Fethiye, you’ll find more family-friendly restaurants and cultural sites.

From Fethiye or Olu Deniz , you can jump on a boat for a day trip. It’s a beautiful sandy stretch of shore that has calm waters – ideal for young swimmers – and water sports opportunities, such as paddle boats. The famed beach is a protected national park that you can pay to enter. There are also a couple of waterparks in the area for a fun day out (for kids and adults) too.
There are also walking routes, such as the Lycian Way, which takes you to the famous Kayakoy Ghost Town where children (young and old) can explore the ruined Greek buildings.
