Located in The Sukhothai Bangkok hotel’s brand new Club Wing, the Club Room exudes style and glamour, providing nothing but five-star luxury for guests. Following a six-month makeover, the new Club Rooms combine subtle Thai features with modern technology, such as Harman Kardon sound systems, digital bedside control panels and high-tech Japanese toilets. With crisp, opulent and contemporary Thai design, modern technology and superb in-room amenities, The Club offers guests an incredible experience at The Sukhothai.
Upon entering the spacious Club Room, guests are greeted almost immediately by the impressive floor to ceiling windows, allowing daylight to stream in and commanding spectacular views of the fast-paced urban city that is Bangkok. The windows are double glazed, meaning the Club Room is well sound-proofed and ensuring that guests will get a restful and peaceful nights’ sleep, despite being in one of the busiest cities in the world.
The room brings a sense of place and an elegant contemporary edge to interiors that are at once modern, and timeless. Polished teak interiors and impeccable detailing blend Thai aesthetics, technology and supreme guest comfort. The large king-size bed features soft 100% duck down pillows and duvets, as well as 400-thread count cotton sheets. There is also a high-definition 55" LED television, for guests to settle down after a busy day in the city and watch a movie.
There is a small seating area, as well as a desk for guests that need to get some work done. The Club Room features a Nespresso machine, as well as Premium Saro lotus tea, blended especially for guests of The Sukhothai. The spacious mirrored bathroom provides a deep-soaking tub as well as a separate shower enclosure.
Bottega Veneta luxury bath amenities are included, as well as plush terry robes and towels to complete guests’ luxurious experience. There is also a laptop-size personal safe, as well as a multi-line telephone and voice mail, and an impressive Harman Kardon audio system. The vibrant restaurant and bar scene of Sukhumvit Road is easy to reach by taxi, BTS Skytrain or MRT underground train. Guests will have plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, with all kinds of cuisine. A short taxi ride away is the Saphan Taksin Pier, where public ferries provide cruises along the famous Chao Phraya River, otherwise known as the River of Kings.
Guests must also visit the Patpong Night Market, located just a short taxi drive away to Silom Road, where guests can experience the city’s notorious nightlife.

Best Suited For: All AgesThe Sukhothai Bangkok is great for families with children; some rooms feature connecting doors, extra beds can be put into suites, and the hotel can provide a nanny. A special children’s area will keep youngsters occupied during the Sunday brunch, which is popular with families. The newly-renovated 25-metre outdoor infinity pool provides a fantastic place for children to splash around and cool down in the Thai heat.
Bangkok itself has plenty of child-friendly activities; the many shopping malls to choose from will provide hours of entertainment, and lots of them have cinemas, ice rinks and bowling alleys. Kids will love the Khlong Lat Mayom floating market, as well as a boat trip along the Chao Phraya River. SeaLife Aquarium Bangkok is a fantastic place to take the kids for an afternoon, where they can check out the rich marine life including sharks, seahorses spider crabs and jellyfish.
There is also a fun glass bottom boat ride and a 4D cinema here. One of the most popular places for kids in Bangkok, Dreamworld is Thailand’s answer to Disneyland. This fun theme park has rollercoasters and rides suitable for kids of all ages. There are also shows to watch, fairytale characters to meet and even an indoor snow park where you can play in real snow!
Siam Park City is a good choice of what to do with kids in Bangkok on a hot day, as it has not only thrill rides for the whole family but also water slides to cool off in, including the world’s largest wave pool! There are five fun zones to explore at Thailand’s largest theme park, including X-Zone for adrenaline junkies and Small Zone for the little ones.
Another of the most popular Bangkok places to visit with family is Kidzania. This global award-winning educational entertainment centre features a realistic indoor ‘city’ where kids can role-play in over 70 different activities, learning about key values and life skills as they go. Save the day as a fireman, help the sick as a doctor, or protect the streets as a policeman.
If you are looking for things for kids in Bangkok at night, then Siam Niramit is one of the most famous Thailand attractions for families. This cultural show is a real extravaganza, featuring traditional dances and acrobatics, together with stunning visual and musical effects.
Getting around the city couldn’t be easier; taxis are plentiful. However, there can be very bad traffic in Bangkok, so the BTS Skytrain is a brilliant and fun alternative - the trains run from 6am-midnight daily, and with just two lines on the network it is easy to navigate. A ride in a tuk-tuk is always fun for kids, and they can be a good option for short distances.
