Menorca Castell is a striking bungalow style private villa drenched in sunlight, sleeping eight in the northeast of Menorca. Guests pulling up to stay will fall in love with its cool white walls and terracotta roof, as it offers a home away from home in the warm Spanish sun.
Turning to face the views, guests can enjoy an absolutely breath-taking view of the ocean and coast just beyond the villas' fencing. The cooling effects of a swim are even closer than that, right at your feet with the private pool for you alone to enjoy. If swimming isn’t on the agenda, lay back and relax on one of the sun loungers dotted around the pool and enjoy the feel of sunlight warming your skin. For peak relaxation, doze off in the hammock that swings between two tall palm trees.
The home benefits from two more outside areas, the first being a cosy and cushioned outside seating area that is just perfect for reading a good book whilst overlooking the beautiful ocean. Enjoy your meals al fresco with Menorca Castell's outdoor dining area and, if you feel like it, try your hand at cooking a delicious fresh seafood dinner on the patio’s built-in brick barbecue. Eat whilst watching the sunset across the coast and tuck into some local Spanish wine in the warmth of the residual heat.
Moving inside, you will first be greeted by the villa living and indoor dining area. The wide room benefits from a beautiful white, wood and citrus colour pattern and a dining table should you wish to enjoy your meals inside. The living area features two sofas perfect for lounging on in front of the included satellite TV and large French windows letting in natural light and a peek of the ocean.
Should you be a keen cook, the kitchen comes well equipped with a range of appliances, including a kettle, coffeemaker, and microwave.
Menorca Castell has four bedrooms that each provide feelings of tranquillity and relaxation, and each is decorated in its own unique way and lets in lots of natural light. There are two double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom, and two bedrooms containing two single beds.
Both the en-suite and shared bathroom are light and airy, with windows to keep the rooms cool. Both contain showers and mirrors so that you can get ready for each incredible day on the beautiful island of Menorca.

THE REGION
Arena D'en Castell is located on the northeast coast of Menorca, within an easy bus ride of other towns to visit. Arenal den Castell is the fourth most prominent resort on Menorca and is on the eastern side of Menorca, where most of the island's attractions are located.
The bay at Arenal d'en Castell is as close to a near-perfect horseshoe as you can get. The headlands on the waters' horizon close in so much so that you think you might be standing by a large saltwater lake. While some areas behind the beach have been developed, the varying ground height levels mean it's more natural than it might first appear in photographs. The eastern end of the resort and beach is more naturally intact with wooded areas and sand dunes and is where most of the private villas and apartments are located.

Best Suited For: All AgesThe beautiful Menorca Castell is ready to be enjoyed by holidaymakers of every age. The single-storey layout makes it easy to navigate for all ages and mobility levels (no stairs necessary), and the living spaces are toddler friendly.
Kids will rejoice to know that there is a satellite television for them to kick back in front of, and the sofas provide a comfy place to play games or simply chat. Teens can choose from much different hang out spots and benefit from the included Wi-Fi connection – including a swinging hammock between palm trees. Very picturesque.
Spanish siestas can be had in peace whilst the cool air conditioning provides a welcome relief after a day running about in the sun outside. Or perhaps enjoy endless fun splashing around in the private pool outside without even stepping off the property.
Should you want to leave the villa, kids won’t have to walk far to get to the local beach, village or restaurant. Perfect for little legs that tire easily.
Adventurous children will adore the number of sporting options on the island. Imagine the memories made of snorkelling in the ocean and discovering fish or trying their hand at kayaking. Looking for more passive entertainment? Kids will love sailing the sea in a private hire boat, watching the glistening ocean, and looking for fishy friends.
Animal lovers can enjoy trekking the island on horseback and enjoying the countryside while riding on well-trained horses. Visit the donkey sanctuary, where you can pet the rescued animals and learn more about them.
Also available to experience are Jeep safaris; kids will love going down dirt roads in a 4x4 and taking in awe-inspiring views and nature alike.
The magic of al fresco dining right in your own villa is a great experience for kids, as they enjoy their meals whilst taking in the cool ocean breeze and scent.

We loved the villa
We loved the villa and cant wait to come back. It is very peaceful and relaxing, exactly what we wanted. Also, there are multiple beaches to explore near the villa and its right next to a great sandy beach.

The villa is perfect
Johanes is a super host. He provided us with a lot of practical information and was very flexible in managing arrival and departure. The villa is perfect. You will particularly enjoy the breakfast facing the sea and the pool.

A lovely sheltered beach
The view from the Villa Petal is lovely and there is a footpath down some steps to the beach which was not marked on the Google map, there is a yellow sign pointing to it from the road. It is a lovely sheltered beach with a boardwalk from one end to the other.

I'd give it 11 if I could!!
Amazing hosts, on hand if needed but not constantly checking!! A truly wonderful villa with perfect facilities for our two families to share. We loved the pool, the Bbq and the spacious areas for dining and relaxing. Only a short 10 minute walk to the beach and local supermarket as well as a nice little restaurant. The villa was only a 25 minute stroll to the main resort centre with loads of restaurant choice. We loved our stay, a fantastic location in a beautiful part of the world, could not recommend this place higher!! 10/10, I'd give it 11 if I could!!

Wonderful house
We stayed in this wonderful house for the second year In a row. Superb terrace with view on the sea , swimming pool , Nicely decorated and 5 minutes walk from the beautiful beach of arenal. Last year we asked some improvements like installing the Mosquito nets, a new set of pans , etc and the owner , a very kind and available person, Took care of all the suggested changes . 2 rooms have air Conditioning and the other 2 have ceiling funs. The only downside : so beautiful that it makes it hard to leave!

Very good location , fantastic pool in front of the sea. The house is full of services and utilities, even for babies and children! We had a good holiday there! recommended!!

Stunning view! What you see is what you get. Comfortable house with indispensable swimming pool, BBQ, shade areas, WiFi, AC and ventilators. Great place for a family holidays. We highly recommend it.

2 wonderful weeks
We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Villa Petal from the 30th of June to the 11 of July. We were 2 familes with 3 kids. The villa has a great location : it is at 5 minutes walking distance from Playa de l’Arenal and at 20 minutes driving from many other beautiful beaches and nice villages. The villa also very nicely furnished, with 4 nice bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The swimming pool is just perfect and from the terrace you have an amazing view on the sea. In this area, there is also a nice big table under a porch, a very practical external shower, a brick oven where you can grill meat or fish and plenty of beach loungers and an umbrella. Pilar and her husbands were great hosts, and we actually bumped into them in town few times during our stay and enjoyed cheat chatting with them. They were also very fast in arranging cleaning services and the fix of a brokencurtain. We will definitely come back to this great house. Menorca is a wonderful island but the house was so beautiful that we spent a lot of time enjoying the terrace and the swimming pool.
