Inside there is ample room for ten guests, ideal for large families that want to enjoy the quality time together away from a busy day to day lives. There are two generous floors, with laid-back bedrooms and homely, communal areas, where you can sit back and relax with your loved ones.

As you open the front door, you are presented with clean white walls that reflect the sunlight around each room as well as traditional beams and various features that add warmth and homeliness to each space.

The main living area is open-plan, with a big lounge that includes built-in sofas, maximising the space and making it perfect for when everyone wants to come together in one room. Adjacent is a large wooden dining table, with space for all ten guests, ideal for sociable evening meals. The kitchen combines warm, wooden cabinets with bright yellow, modern tiles that make space feel bright and lively, perfect for preparing delicious family feasts with local produce that you can pick up from the Binibeca markets!

Throughout the rest of the villa, there are three modern bathrooms and five simple bedrooms, including three twin rooms, a bunk room and an elegant double room. Each room has white walls, comfy beds, colourful artworks and views over the lovely surrounding area.

The first-floor balcony has the best viewpoint, with views stretching across the tree and rooftops to the sea in the distance. This is the perfect spot for adults to sit in peace, keeping a quiet eye on kids splashing in the pool below!

Downstairs, the large private pool is bordered by a spacious terrace, with a covered dining area and barbecue where you can make the most of the warm climate, dining late into each evening and enjoying an aperitif or two under the stars! The Balearic island of Menorca is the quieter, unspoilt version of its big sisters Majorca and Ibiza.

While it is partly known for its traditional summer fiestas, which take place in different towns around the island all summer long (with origins dating back to the 14th century!), it’s really the place for those who enjoy a calmer, slower pace of life.

Aside from its traditional fiestas, Menorca is better visited for its white-sand bays such as Pregonda and Cala Macarella, clear, turquoise water and more gentle activities like walking, cycling or horse-riding. With a coastline punctuated by beautiful coves and a landscape awarded the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status, strewn with ancient stone monuments and an estimated 70,000km of dry-stone walls, this is an island for the nature lovers, and anyone looking for a little rest and relaxation.

Villa Maria Gran is located in the popular area of Binibeca, just a short 4km from Menorca airport. The area is characterised by pretty, white-washed villas and the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere that is evident throughout the resort.

Binibeca Vell itself provides a selection of bustling restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops as well as many natural wonders within just a few kilometres. While there are many of its kind nearby, a particularly beautiful local attraction is the Cala Binipartrix, a sheltered cove comprising a limestone gorge complete with a sandy beach.

Binibeca beach itself is ideal for families, with beautiful, soft, white-sandy shores, and shallow waters ideal for families with smaller children. It’s also one of five beaches in Menorca that was awarded the Blue Flag beach award in 2016 for its high standards of quality and safety. We recommend you get a drink at the famous Los Bucaneros beach bar that juts out from the rocks, with ample seating and picturesque views overlooking the bay.

A popular place to visit is the Menorca styled fishermen’s village designed by Spanish architect Antonio Sintes in 1972. The village offers a fabulous place to escape the midday sun and is ideal for families as it’s a traffic-free zone. Adjacent to the charming village, visitors can pick up local produce at the markets, perfect for trying your hand at some local delicacies, or preparing some family favourites adapted to suit the local produce!

The private swimming pool always proves popular with kids, whilst adults can gaze down from above, enjoying the tranquillity of the first-floor balcony. The bunk room within the villa is best suited to children and the three twin rooms are equally ideal for all ages within the group.

Binibeca itself is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, with relaxed restaurants and the beautiful sandy beach. The beach offers shallow waters and life guards so even young children can play safely, without parents having to worry!
