The open-plan living space features a cosy lounge area with soft, squashy sofas in neutral shades, stylish armchairs, and chunky wooden furniture. There is a flat-screen satellite TV for your entertainment, and the whole area lends itself perfectly to snuggling up and enjoying a family movie night or simply enjoying each other's company at the end of a busy day. The dining and kitchen area offers enough space for indoor meals. It is fully equipped with all the home-from-home amenities you would expect, including an oven and electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and dishwasher, as well as plenty of cookware, crockery and utensils.
Villa Torre Soli's bedrooms are equally bright and roomy, with comfortable soft furnishings and built-in wardrobes. The villa features two double rooms and a twin, making it a good choice for those with children or friends holidaying together. There's also a cot and highchair available in the villa, making things stress-free and convenient for guests with very young children.
You can access the fully-furnished lounge terrace from the villa's living area - an ideal spot for enjoying a morning cuppa or a good book, and a covered outdoor dining area and barbecue, perfect for enjoying alfresco meals with the whole family. The grounds are well-secured and private, featuring a shaded lawn area, hammocks and sun loungers -and even a table-tennis table for a friendly after-dinner competition! No villa would be complete without a private pool, and guests staying at Villa Torre Soli won't be disappointed, as the villa benefits from its large private pool, which is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike as the temperatures rise.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa Torre SoliVilla Torre Soli is situated in Son Bou, a small resort on the island's south coast. The resort has a long sandy beach - one of the longest stretches on the island - with clear shallow waters and elevated timber walkways over the sand dunes that provide easy access for pushchairs, prams and wheelchairs. This famous beach can get busy during the summer months, but due to its size, it should be easy to find a quiet sandy spot to enjoy. Son Bou beach features many family-friendly amenities such as on-duty lifeguards, a first-aid post, a sun lounger and parasol hire. There are numerous water sports and activities available in the area, with scuba diving being a popular favourite, and the surrounding areas offer hiking, cycling and horseback riding opportunities. Near the beach is Club san Jaime, which is open from late morning until early evening and features some exciting water slides that the kids (and the adults!) will enjoy. Oliver recommends spending an hour or so here on a hot day. It's great fun and very reasonably priced.
The centre of Son Bou is home to an excellent shopping centre with several good supermarkets, ideal for self-catering, and plenty of places to buy trinkets and souvenirs. There are also ATMs, a good taxi rank, and an excellent bus service available if you want to travel a little further afield to Santo Tomas, which is also accessible along the coastal path if you fancy the walk. A slightly quieter resort than Son Bou, this beautiful village is popular with families with young children. It is a nature-lovers paradise with gorgeous remote beaches, countryside walks and cycling tracks.
If you'd rather stay put in Son Bou, there is a good selection of bars and restaurants that cater to all tastes and budgets. For example, Casa Andres, which specialises in international cuisine as well as Mediterranean dishes and seafood, or Es Forn de Torre Soli Nou, where you can sample delicious Spanish meat dishes. Buddha Cafe bar is the place to go for late-night musical entertainment, and cocktail bars such as La Roca and Mai-Tai are also popular with tourists. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy Kit-Kat bar, a sports bar where you can catch all the latest English football games, and several welcoming beach bars along the coast - perfect places for sipping a fruity drink while taking in the glorious sunsets.

THE REGION
The resort of Son Bou in the municipality of Alaior, on the south coast of Menorca, is renowned for having the biggest and probably best beach on the island. The resort is located around 20 kilometres from the international airport at Mahon.
Son Bou is a well-developed area containing many restaurants offering a good range of British, Indian, Chinese and Mediterranean dishes, as well as numerous bars, some of which are themed to help entertain young ones.
While the resort is very popular for families, the sheer size of the beach makes it easy for those who prefer to avoid the little ones to find their ideal spots! There is an abundance of natural sand dunes that make a very pleasant backdrop.

Best Suited For: All AgesFor families holidaying with children, Villa Torre Soli is a good choice of accommodation thanks to its secure, family-friendly location, single-storey layout and the addition of twin beds, a cot and a highchair. Satellite TV and WiFi provide some home-from-home comforts and offer a handy way to keep the kids entertained while you are busy preparing food or planning your day. Outside, the kids can play in a well-secured garden with shade areas for playing and eating, and they will spend many hours enjoying the villa’s private pool. Parents should be aware that there is no safety barrier or fence surrounding the pool, so you’ll want to keep an eye on the little ones when they’re playing in the vicinity.
Son Bou has plenty to offer families with children - not least the fabulous beach, which is within easy distance of the villa and is considered one of the best in Menorca for children. Although the beach can get busy at times and has areas that welcome naturists, it’s large enough that you should have no problem finding your own space to play and relax. The waters here are clear and shallow - perfect for paddling and snorkelling, and the addition of lifeguards and a first aid post add peace of mind to parents. Oliver recommends heading to the beach with a picnic and taking advantage of the beach’s shaded picnic area, complete with tables and benches for a fun family day out.
There are loads of exciting sporting activities available in Son Bou that the whole family will enjoy, including bicycle hire so that you can enjoy the many nature trails and horseback riding experiences that allow the whole family to enjoy the spectacular views along the coast in a relaxing and unique way. Son Bou is also home to a scuba diving centre that caters to family groups, where guides provide a safe and fun experience, introducing kids and adults alike to the marine fauna of Menorca. Some excellent hiking routes through the fields and pastures are highly recommended for families with kids. The easiest route takes you to the virgin beach of Atalis and towards Santo Tomas. It is an enjoyable experience for the whole family without any steep climbs or rough terrain.
