Villa Solecito provides a most comfortable and attractive holiday base. All the rooms are well proportioned, light and welcoming, with 6 en-suite bathrooms serving 6 bedrooms, an indication of the care that has gone into the property's design. The owners have taken great care to retain the architectural integrity of the property, maintaining original features such as the beamed ceilings and natural stone walls. The cool, bright interiors and comfortable yet stylish furniture throughout ensure a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. No stone has been left un-turned in the owner’s quest to make your stay a most comfortable one, from the fully equipped country style kitchen to the private exterior dining terrace with open fireplace for the cooler months, encouraging the greatest enjoyment of both the local cuisine and outdoor living.

Outside is no less spacious, with a large parkland style garden and a wide dining patio which links the house to the pool area. The relaxed Menorcan pace of life will no doubt be easy to follow here, with lazy days by the gated swimming pool  perhaps finished with a glass of wine from a local producer.

The sleepy hamlet of Llucmaçanes (Llumesanas) in Menorca is situated approximately five minutes drive from both the island's capital town of Mahon and the much smaller but charming 18th century town of San Luis (Sant Lluís). A picturesque settlement (population circa 200), Llucmaçanes is surrounded by open countryside complete with vineyards and quiet country paths that are ideally suited to walking and cycling. The local shop that caters for most requirements is owned by a friendly Menorcan family.

The nearby towns of Sant Climent and San Luis have some very nice bars and restaurants, with an even wider choice in Mahon and Es Castell including some fantastic waterfront locations.The fine white sandy beaches at Alcaufar, Binibeca  and Punta Prima are a short drive away, and are ideal for families with younger children or non-swimmers. The capital Mahon (Mao) and the airport are only 5 minutes drive from Llucmaçanes.

Serene and typically Menorcan, the village of Llucmacanes with its whitewashed farmhouses and village church can be considered a sleepy, but enchanting offering.

Enveloped by pretty countryside, vineyards and wild olive trees, this is an area to enjoy nature at its best. Walking or cycling along country lanes, spotting typical dry stone walls and subtle but beautiful flora and fauna, it's a picture-perfect scene. You may also come across the Basilica des Fornas de Torello nearby - the remains of an old Roman church with faded but fascinating mosaics.

There's a local shop in the town, but if you require something more, Llucmacanes is perfectly located to reach the capital, Mahon, the lovely town of San Luis or San Clemente - all of which have fantastic bars, cafes and restaurants.

THE REGION

Mahon is the charming capital of the Balearic Island of Menorca; it is the first stop for many visitors before heading off to Menorca's beach resorts. The city is known for its Georgian-style mansions, a testament to the British occupation from times gone by and an attractive harbour area and restaurant-lined promenade.

End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.

Minimum stay 7 nights. All other durations on request.
