What Oliver loves…

- The villa sleeps 7, across 4 bedrooms – the fourth bedroom is made up with a sofa bed. Great if you have additional guests for a short period, or teenagers, but perhaps not ideal for an adult for a longer period of time
The moment you arrive at Casa de La Luna you’ll be able to settle in straight away and start your holiday immediately. The villa is decorated in a fairly neutral style, well-equipped and with comfortable décor. There are four bedrooms – one of which has a sofa bed.
There’s a master bedroom, with double bed and en-suite bathroom, two twin bedrooms and one room with a sofa bed – so masses of flexibility depending on what your party needs. As well as the master en-suite, there are two further bathrooms, one of which is a family bathroom with a bath.
The kitchen is well-equipped with fully fitted modern units, and all the appliances and utensils you’ll need. Just next door is a sitting room, overlooked from the mezzanine level by the dining area. The sitting room has a large L-shaped sofa, TV and access to the terrace; while up on the mezzanine level, you’ll find a dining table and chairs.
Outside, you’ll find a lovely covered terrace – positioned to make the very best of the wonderful sea views, it’s overlooked by palm trees and is just the spot to sit and watch the world go by in the harbour below. There’s a range of lounge furniture on the main terrace, as well as your private swimming pool. The pool has the added bonus of being fully fenced – a definite bonus if you’re travelling with young children.
Cala Llonga is a residential area, but it’s only a ten-minute drive to Mahon – so you can enjoy all the peace and quiet of your villa, with its beautiful sea views, while the hustle and bustle of wonderful Mahon are within easy reach. So grab a drink in the evening and enjoy watching the twinkling harbour lights – there’s nothing quite like a long evening outside in the warm air to make you feel like you’re really on holiday.
What you should know…
- We recommend hiring a car – the villa is in a hillside location, so benefits from fabulous views, but car hire will make reaching the top that bit easier!
- The bedrooms don’t have air-conditioning – but there are fans, tiled floors and large windows to make the best of the cooling sea breeze

Situated on the hillside opposite Es Castell and overlooking Mahon(Mao) harbour, Cala Llonga is one of the most exclusive residential areas in Menorca. The views from Cala Llonga are stunning, as it overlooks the entrance to this wonderful natural harbour, which is one of the largest in the world. With its waterfront location and commanding views of the port and marina, any sailing enthusiast would love to stay here.
Cala Llonga's elevated position provides panoramic views along the length and breadth of the 5km long inlet which is surrounded by rugged coastline and hilltop fortresses. By day you can simply relax in your villa and take in the stunning views whilst watching the world go by. By night you can enjoy the breathtaking sunsets and magical evenings with the lights from Es Castell and the port twinkling in the water below. It's no wonder that Cala Llonga is one of the most sought after locations in the Mediterranean!
Cala Llonga has a small supermarket whilst the nearby unspoilt coastal village of Mesquidahas, a local shop, restaurant and bar. For more extensive shopping and dining opportunities, the capital town of Mahon is only 10 minutes by car...or you can always ring the changes by catching the water taxi to Port of Mahon and stroll along the esplanade with a large variety of quality boutiques, galleries, shops, bars and restaurants or Cales Fonts a lively 'traffic-free' area with a mixture of good bars and restaurants and is a wonderful place for a summer's evening stroll or for picking up a boat tour around the port.
The unspoilt beach of Sa Mesquida said to be one of the prettiest on the island, is only a few minutes by car. A beautiful cove offering safe shallow bathing, this wide sandy beach is a favourite with local families. And if you feel like stretching your legs, this is the starting point for a 4km way-marked bridle path to Es Grau, an unspoilt fishing village (with yet another lovely sandy beach!) which is within the Natural Park of S'Albufera des Grau.
Although we highly recommend hiring a car to experience the island fully, we especially recommend car hire to our clients staying in Cala Llonga, due to being on a hillside.

The villa is a lovely place for kids to hang out - teenagers and older children will love having their own space, while children of all ages will love swimming in the pool. The outdoors area all good to run around and play, will ensure many fun evenings!

Cala Mesquida is just a short drive away and is home to a beautiful bay beach, lovely restaurant and local bar. On the road to Cala Llonga, guests can also visit the historical houses of Sant Antonio and La Mola. both of which offer tours, adding a sprinkling of culture to your holiday!
