A stylish villa with a coastal theme that runs throughout, Binibeca Daikiri is perfect for families travelling together. It has six double bedrooms with a total capacity of 12, a delightful plunge pool and a gorgeous solarium on the roof.

Outside on the ground level, make the most of the outdoors with a dip in the sparkling infinity pool, surrounded by a spacious lawn and a border of plants and trees. The villa is made up of white layered exteriors and encompassed by a stone wall, not unlike a Mediterranean fortification wall. There are lots of plants in the pebbled front yard and a covered garage for two cars. White pillars and open sides add to the traditional feel of the house. At night, the villa is illuminated, and the pool glows a bright blue.

However, the interiors of the house are designed in a modern, bright and airy style, with a loose maritime theme. A striking spiral marble staircase curves upwards to most of the bedrooms, although one room is on the ground floor. The living room is decorated in cream, with cosy, plush sofas and splashes of blue in the soft furnishings and art on the walls. There is an aesthetic screen with twisted wooden roots at one side, and a rug with circular patterns. A decorative wooden boat features on another wall. Curl up and enjoy some downtime or watch a movie on the flat-screen television.

The kitchen is monochrome, except for the autumnal art on one side. A large, glossy kitchen island is a great spot to grab a bite to eat, while the kitchen is fully equipped for self-caterers. Modern, silver appliances including a blender, coffee maker and an American fridge ensure guests will have everything they need for cooking.

Bedrooms are a cosy, relaxed affair with plenty of natural light and views of the ocean or of a nature reserve. All the rooms on the upper floor have direct access to the sundeck, where guests can catch some rays. The bedrooms are decorated in neutral tones with blue details, like a patterned rug and fluffy patchwork stool. Framed black and white art hangs on the wall. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, which are decked out in marble that matches the downstairs rooms. The bathrooms feature glass-encased showers and dual sinks.

The property is located in Binibeca, a lovely renovated fishing village with a warren of winding streets and traditional limestone houses. The villa is also just 500m from Binibeca beach. The area was tastefully restored in 1972, has always been a popular holiday destination with local and international tourists. There is a friendly, family-orientated atmosphere and Binibeca has all the amenities that you will need, such as a small commercial centre and restaurants.

Menorca, in general, has a more gentle, leisurely pace than some of the other Balearic Islands like Ibiza and Majorca. But rest assured, there's plenty on offer in terms of activities - and as Menorca is encompassed by 216km of coastline, there's a fantastic array of beaches on offer. There are several water parks, good opportunities to observe local wildlife and of course, many local delicacies to try.

Binibeca beach has a gently sloping swathe of white sand and glittering blue water, set against a backdrop of cliffs made from volcanic rock and a lush pine forest. In the same area, there are also four other smaller coves - Biniancolla, Binisafuller, Biniparratx and Binidali. This beach has a great diving school where you can explore an underwater shipwreck. Snorkelling and kayaking are also popular pastimes here, as you can spot exotic fish and sea life.

Just a short drive away is the Calas Coves, with lapis-coloured water framed by cliffs. The coves have an ethereal quality beloved by visitors and locals alike. Alternatively, visit the island's best-kept secret, Cala Escorxada, which can be reached by a one hour hike from Santo Tomas. Follow the coastal route to be rewarded with pristine sands, dazzling turquoise water and far fewer people than other beaches in the area.

Just 10 minutes away is Mao harbour, a 2km-long stretch lined with cafes and art galleries in Menorca's capital, Mahon. There are also some chic boutiques where you could pick up some locally-crafted avarcas sandals, as Menorca is known for shoemaking. Descend the steps of the harbour to spot luxury yachts and visit the famous gin distillery where guests can sample Xoriguer gin, a local speciality. In terms of food, local Menorquin delicacies to try include baked squid, lobster stew, octopus and sobrassada - paprika-spiced sausages.

Jeep Safari Menorca is a superb way to get acquainted with the island's indigenous wildlife. Local guides take groups of passengers in 4x4s around the backroads and hidden gems of the island to spot interesting flora and fauna. It's a great opportunity to learn more about local life and the animals that inhabit the island, such as the black Menorquin horse.

To get a superb panoramic view of the island, head to El Toro, Menorca's highest peak. To reach the top, there is a moderate 2-hour hike that most pilgrims can manage. From here, adventurous guests can try paragliding above the island for unrivalled views. Glide, in tandem with an experienced instructor back to the ground - it will truly be an amazing experience.

The quiet and idyllic resort of Binibeca is a very popular smaller resort on the beautiful south coast of Menorca and is a perfect choice for holidaymakers wanting to escape the noise and crowds of other more developed areas. You will not find any skyline-destroying hotels or large holiday complexes here, most accommodations being in private villas and apartments.

Today, Binibeca stretches 3 km along the coast and includes the original ‘Binibèquer Vell’, or an old portion, as well as the new portion of ‘Binibèquer Nou’- a natural progression with many of the homes and villas in keeping with the original design. At the very eastern point of Binibeca, you will also find Cala Torret, a small village which feels separate but is actually part of it.

A Menorcan holiday is absolutely ideal for families with kids in tow. The relaxed atmosphere and adventure-based activities are bound to be popular with little ones and teenagers alike. The villa has a great pool for them to splash around in and lots of space for them to relax outside.

The proximity to Binibeca beach is popular for families travelling with kids in this area - they'll adore swimming and snorkelling in the sparkling sea and strolling along the powdery white sand. The Calas Coves are a beautiful spot to take children, but Cala Escorxada might be too taxing on the littlest of legs!

A one-hour boat trip from Mao harbour is a lovely activity for children of all ages - some boats have glass bottoms, so kids can observe the marine life and exotic fish beneath the sea. Afterwards, they can take a stroll along the boardwalk, checking out the little shops and cafes.

A day at an aqua park is always a popular idea - close to the villa you will find the largest on the island, Splash Sur. There's something for everyone here - thrillseekers can try out the black hole drop or the exciting Kamikaze ride, while little ones have their own shallow activity pool with fountains, water jets and mini slides. There's a pirate ship to play on, complete with water cannons. Floating down the lazy river in a rubber ring will be fun for the whole family.

The Jeep Safari is perfect for kids who love animals - local guides will help them spot plenty of the island's creatures. Horse riding is a popular pastime for locals on Menorca - the path that winds around the island's coast is called Camide Cavalls, meaning 'Way of the Horses'. Mini riders can go on horseback trails, visit the indigenous black Menorquin horses or take a pony ride at a stable nearby.

The adventure playground in Castillo Menorca is perfect for kids in search of more active fun - there are lots of zip lines, a swimming pool and sandpits ideal for little ones. There are also climbing frames and trampolines - and as the playground is inside a shopping centre, adults can indulge in a little retail therapy while the kids have fun.
