Villa Anica is a stunning seven bedroom villa in a cliff-side location, laid out over various levels – every room has terrace or balcony access and views out over sea beyond. It’s in an exclusive area of north eastern Mallorca, set on a 20,000m2 private estate. The villa is the epitome of luxury and opulence – finished to a five star hotel standard, it has everything you could possibly need, including two swimming pools and a lift.
The seven bedrooms are all exquisite and of generous proportions, each with an en-suite bathroom and terrace or balcony; but the piece de resistance is the fabulous master bedroom – it’s a great size with large picture windows and sliding glass doors leading out to either the balcony or the first of the swimming pools. The en-suite bathroom is wonderful, with a free-standing Jacuzzi bath surrounded by large floor to ceiling windows.
The vast principal kitchen has been finished to a professional standard, with fully fitted modern units and every appliance you can think of, including an American-style fridge/freezer. There are two island units and masses of space with two dining areas. There’s also a separate fully-fitted staff kitchen. One room containing the owners antique china collection is locked, for safety reasons, but there are numerous other rooms to chose from.
The décor is luxurious and largely modern in design, but also with a nod to the more traditional; for example the vaulted stone ceiling in one of the dining areas. Adjacent to here are the two living rooms, both with sofas, fireplaces and satellite TVs. There are also two further bedrooms, more basic than the rest of the villa, so perhaps ideal if you’re travelling with staff. They are available separately – please contact Oliver’s Travels directly about these.
Outside there are two swimming pools, one with a feature waterfall, a Jacuzzi hot tub, and terraces on various levels, all with seating. The terraces will cater for everyone in your party, some are covered (one has a billiard table), some left open – ideal if there are sun worshippers or shade seekers amongst you. There’s an outdoor kitchen with a grill, so enjoy heading to the nearby local market for fresh ingredients to cook her, glass in hand, enjoying your sensational surroundings.

What you should know…
- The villa has everything you could dream of, but the only thing you might need is a car – the property enjoys a quiet cliff-side position so you’ll need a car if you want to explore the local area
- There are two further bedrooms, more basic than the rest, available for rent separately from the main villa – please contact Oliver’s Travels for more information

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa AnicaThe property is located close to the dramatic and stunning Cap de Formentor, an absolute must for any visitor to Mallorca’s north. 18km of winding roads, hairpin bends, tunnels, cliffs, breathtaking views and wilderness stretch along the Ma2210 from Puerto Pollenca to the lighthouse perched at the tip of Cap de Formentor, with its 400m high cliffs, sheer drops and azure waters it is possibly the most dramatic stretch of coastline any where in Mallorca.
The road from Puerto Pollensa to Formentor, although well maintained is a notorious white knuckle ride and if you are not a competent driver I wouldn’t suggest taking a car as you will spend the day negotiating narrow, extremely windy roads and limited tight parking, local bus 354 also heads out there several times a day from Puerto Pollenca as do organised tour groups and though the roads are worse for a bus at least the driving is in the hands of a pro but if you don’t fancy that I would definitely recommend taking a bike or a moped, it will give you easy access and parking all along the busy road and will allow you to enjoy rather than fear the hairpins along the way (and you wont have to pay the extortionate parking fee at Formentor beach).
16 km away, the old town of Pollensa has everything you need for a wonderful holiday, situated inland from some of Spain's finest sand beaches. The town itself centres around beautiful cobbled streets leading to a traditional church. Wander the streets that lead to the church to discover traditional outlets selling a range of foods, arts and crafts as well as cafes, restaurants and bars. The highlight of the week is the authentic and traditional market that occurs every Sunday morning. Get there early to secure the freshest fruit, vegetables, meat and fish.
The Calvari steps provide the best view of the local area, but be warned that to get to the top you have to climb 365 of them. However, the climb is worth it and the views definitely do not disappoint.
