With spectacular views of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, Casa De Lan is a beautiful rustic retreat, ideal for a relaxing holiday with family and friends in the North of Mallorca where peace and tranquillity come in abundance.

The country casa is situated in Pollenca, surrounded by countryside and Mediterranean vegetation and olive and almond trees. On arrival through the secure iron gates, there’s a large driveway with ample parking in front of the one storey casa.

On entry, a cosy lounge and dining area makes for an intimate, comfortable living space. A big L-shaped sofa is situated in front of a satellite TV and authentic fireplace. Behind the lounge area, a dining table for six is ideally located in front of a large open hatch into the traditional kitchen area with all the necessary mod cons.

Through the archway in the lounge, there is a small hallway which leads to the four bedrooms.  Bedroom one is a twin room, with two single beds, plenty of wardrobe space and traditional wooden furniture. There are two further bedrooms with single beds pushed together to create double beds but can be easily pushed apart to build two more twin bedrooms. The stunning master bedroom is found at the end of Casa De Lan, with whitewash walls and beams and its private access to the terrace, it has a calming ambience. The en-suite bathroom features a stylish marble sink, bath and shower facility. The family bathroom has a toilet, bidet and bath/shower facility. There is a third smaller bathroom with a bath/shower facility too.

Outside, along with a lush green flat garden, there’s a fabulous covered terrace where a wooden dining table sits along with a chill out area where guests can lounge on outdoor lounge furniture. The patio sits before the large private swimming pool, along with numerous sunbeds on an open stone terrace. An outhouse with an inbuilt barbecue sits to the left with a second covered terrace and dining table with a parasol shade.

What you should know…

  • The swimming pool is unfenced, so take care with younger children
  • Not all bedrooms enjoy en-suite facilities but they do share the use of two family bathrooms
  • In late July each year, the Moors and Christians Festival takes place in Pollensa with a week of festivities culminating in the carnival on the 2nd of August. During this period visitors can expect loud music and celebrations into the night, especially on the 2nd of August.

This rustic retreat is spectacularly situated in the beautiful countryside in Pollensa at the foothills of the spectacular Tramuntana mountains. Running almost 90 kilometres long and with many of its peaks over a kilometre high, the whole mountain range has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site for its historical, cultural, and environmental importance. Whether you drive, cycle or hike, there are so many stunning sights to see along the way, including cliff top viewing points like the Mirador de Ricardo Roca and the Mirador Es Colomer that will take your breath away.

Pollensa is one of Mallorca’s most attractive towns due to the winding cobbled lanes with historic architecture and an impressive main square, lined with cafes, restaurants and bars, and is a beautiful destination to explore or head out for a meal.

The town has several cultural sites to take in, including the Roman bridge ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery, just outside the town.

Port de Pollensa is just a few kilometres away and was once a fishing village but now one of the most popular coastal towns in northern Mallorca. Guests will love exploring the beautiful large marina and a horseshoe bay, with a stunning mountain backdrop. The beach is long and wide and filled with sun loungers and many cool beach bars.
