Modern, stylish and fit to bursting with gorgeous, original features, Vila Tila is guaranteed to impress! This recently renovated, four-bedroom, three-storey townhouse located in the heart of Pollensa's old town blends contemporary interior design with stunning outdoor living spaces to create a seamless flow.

Decorated throughout in fresh white and light, neutral tones, with sprays of beautiful exposed Mediterranean stonework and rustic ceiling beams, Villa Tila is bright and spacious. The living area features a modern, L-shaped sofa that just begs to be lounged on in front of the flat-screen TV and a trendy wood-burner - just perfect for creating a warm and cosy atmosphere on cooler evenings. The fully-fitted and well-equipped kitchen is just as stylish, with gleaming white units and soft cream tiled floors. This well-appointed space offers everything you'll need to cater to your guests' needs during your stay, including a large wooden dining table, integrated oven and microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and coffee maker. From the kitchen, guests can move seamlessly through the bi-folding doors out onto the terrace, where a comfy seating area provides the perfect shady spot to enjoy an afternoon cocktail or two. Once you've finished chilling out in the shade, you can amble up to the elevated pool deck, where you'll find luxury sun loungers, an outdoor shower and, of course, your private pool - a real find in the centre of town, and simply perfect for cooling off on a hot summer's day.

The first floor of Villa Tila is a show of continued elegance, with each of the four bedrooms decorated in dazzling white with neutral accents and intricately designed tiled flooring or wooden floors. The villa benefits from a large master bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds (ideal for younger guests), as well as another two double bedrooms, which are located on the top floor, and feature sloped ceiling beams for extra added charm. The double beds in the second-floor bedrooms can be separated into singles to suit your accommodation needs, and all four bedrooms have modern en-suite facilities for added convenience.

From the first floor of Villa Tila, you can access a beautiful glass-fronted terrace showcasing incredible views of the ancient monastery atop the Puig de Maria. Here you'll find an outdoor kitchen with a large modern gas barbecue, sink and food prep area, and ample dining space. This enviable outdoor entertainment area offers guests the perfect place to enjoy pre-dinner drinks and alfresco meals under the stars.

Villa Tila is located right in the heart of the ancient town of Pollensa, meaning that everything you’ll need to enjoy a memorable holiday is right on your doorstep. Pollensa is considered one of Mallorca’s most attractive towns, made up of winding cobbled streets, historic architecture and an impressive main square which is lined with cafes, restaurants and bars.

In Pollensa, you’ll find a vibrant mix of cultures that have influenced the monuments and buildings in the town over thousands of years, including the Calvari Steps and the medieval church and watchtower. The town is small and easy to explore on foot, but be aware that it can be a steep and uneven walk, so good footwear is a must! Every Sunday, a traditional market is held in the square offering fresh local produce and traditional fare, which is not to be missed - why not grab some local delicacies while you’re here and head back to the villa to rustle up a traditional Mediterranean feast for your guests!

During your time in Pollensa, be sure to visit Museo Dionis Bennassar, the home of a local artist that is now used to showcase his incredible works. This peaceful and inspirational place is the perfect spot for art lovers, as well for anyone who wants to enjoy some quiet contemplation while soaking up some local culture.

Pollensa isn’t known for its nightlife (you won’t find any big nightclubs here), but it does offer a warm and cosy buzz after dark! The area is one of the quieter holiday spots in Mallorca, so it’s never packed…locals and tourists socialise in the main square and along the seafront near to the port once the sun has gone down, and there’s a great atmosphere in and around the terrace bars and restaurants. A lot of the bars will have live music or karaoke, so you’re sure to find somewhere that has a vibe you’ll enjoy. If you really want to get your groove on, there is one small nightclub just off the main square that is open until the early hours and is popular with the younger crowd. If you’re looking for more intense nightlife, nearby Alcudia has bars and clubs aplenty, with popular haunts being Banana Club, Cafe Milano, and La Nit Music.

THE REGION

Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

Villa Tila is the ideal accommodation for those who want to treat the kids to a holiday full of culture and sightseeing. The villa itself offers plenty of options for sleeping arrangements when it comes to the little ones, with a bedroom that features bunk beds, as well as two double rooms with zipping and lock beds, so you can decide which configuration works best for you.

The kids are sure to enjoy having their own private pool, as well as dining alfresco with the rest of the family, and there’s WiFi and satellite TV for extra entertainment. Parents should be aware that there isn’t a very wide walkway around the pool, and there’s no fence or barrier, so it’s worth being extra vigilant with the little ones.

The nearest beach to the villa is at Puerto Pollensa, which is about a fifteen-minute drive away from the town, but if you don’t fancy travelling any further afield, you’ll find plenty to keep the kids entertained in the town itself. Pollensa is made up of winding cobbled lanes and sunny squares, with restaurants, cafes and galleries around every corner, so you’re sure to find something to delight the kids. There are some lovely spots to stop for ice cream and admire the views, as well as stands selling fresh fruit smoothies and crepes, and the thriving Sunday market that sells toys, crafts and clothes as well as fresh local produce.

There are lots of activities to get involved in the town and surrounding areas, including golf, cycling, horse-riding, water sports and coastal walks, so you’re sure to find something to entertain and excite even the youngest holiday makers.

If the kids do want a day at the beach, a trip to Puerto Pollensa is well worth the journey. Puerto Pollensa beach offers a range of family-friendly amenities, including umbrella hire and sun loungers, as well as an inflatable playground. This long and beautiful stretch of sand doesn’t get as busy as some of the other more touristy beaches, so you’re sure to find a quiet spot to build sandcastles or picnic with the kids. There are plenty of places to stop for light refreshments while you’re here, as well as restaurants offering dishes that will suit even the fussiest eaters - with the majority in the area having good-sized children’s menus. This charming former fishing village isn’t huge, with everything accessible on foot (so it shouldn’t be too tiring for the little ones!), and is much quieter than some of the other tourist hotspots.

Along the seafront, there are some good, shaded playgrounds that offer something a little different for the children after a day of sea and sand, as well as ice-cream parlours for a delicious afternoon treat. If you fancy doing something a little out-of-the-ordinary during your stay, we recommend taking the children on an excursion in a glass bottom boat to see the fish! There are plenty of these popular trips available in Puerto Pollensa, with some offering extras such as snorkelling or fishing - with lunch included!

Reviews

  • It was a fantastic stay and we will definitely be back!

    on 01/11/2023

We stayed at Villa Tia for 4 weeks to do workation in Mallorca. The house was renovated and equipped to a very high standard and therefore ideal for working and vacationing at the same time. The heated pool and the location were certainly the special highlights among many other amenities of the house. Pollenca is for us one of the most beautiful small towns on Mallorca and far enough away from mass tourism. Balearic Villas is an excellent agency and was always prompt, professional and communication always quick. In addition, we were always well looked after by our on-site contact Joan.

  • Very tastefully renovated accommodation

    on 31/05/2020

Very tastefully renovated and furnished accommodation. My personal highlight are the four shower bathrooms of equal size, so that one can comfortably stay here with two families.

  • Super clean and new

    on 10/02/2020

Amazing stay. Super clean and new. Amazing management also. Will come again.

  • A fantastic house in the centre of beautiful Pollenca

    on 01/10/2019

A fantastic house in the centre of beautiful Pollenca, right by lots of cafes, restaurants and bread shops. The house is beautiful and has everything you could want, and i mean everything. No touch is missing. 3 large double rooms (though i think two can also be twin) and big bunk room, all with fab showers; well stocked kitchen, sitting room, terrace, plunge pool, washing machine.....and everything fresh and stylish. Fantastic place and we had a lovely cycling holiday. Thank you

  • Excellent

Amazing stay. Super clean and new. Amazing management also. Will come again.

  • Fantastic property in the centre of Pollenca

    on 14/07/2019

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful villa. They had thought of everything and Olivers Travels added to the experience with their help throughout. The house is fantastic and right in the centre of beautiful Pollenca town.

  • Great house - cool set up

    on 17/04/2019

Brilliant location - watch out for Sunday market which is literally outside your door! Great house - cool set up. Excellent location for eating, cycling and seeing Pollensa!

  • A breathtaking property in a fantastic location - a 5 star experience.

    on 29/10/2018

We've been fortunate enough to travel a fair bit over the years and to have stayed in some lovely accommodation - and this one is right up there with the best. The house is beautiful and new and has everything that you could want, from the large plunge pool at the back to the 4 en suite bedrooms and the lovely terrace for the evening G&T's. All rooms have the essential air conditioning - even in October it was great to have this on tap when needed. We were able to park at the front of the house without any problem, which was ideal, but do follow the directions closely as the house is close to the centre of the town. Once you have done it once it's easy to navigate back to in the car - although we spent most of our time simply taking the 2 minute stroll from the front door to the lovely restaurants in the middle of the town square. So a lovely property in in a superb location in a wonderful part of Majorca - we will definitely be back!

  • Location is absolutely fantastic

    on 09/10/2018

I cannot recommend this property highly enough, the use of space is excellent and it has everything you'll need for your stay. I recently stayed here with a group of 7 other men for a cycling holiday and we had more than enough space for everyone and all of our kit. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could need, which sounds like it should be a given, but we cooked huge portions for everyone every night and never struggled. Location is absolutely fantastic, less that 20 metres from Pollenca square, with several bars and restaurants. Also there are 2 supermarkets within 2 minutes walk. Overall an excellent property.

  • Superb house in the heart of a historic town

    on 15/11/2017

We've recently spent our 2 wk holiday at this beautiful property which does not disappoint in any way. The house is an old traditional 3 storey town house and blends into the attractive streets in the heart of the town. Once inside everything is bright, airy and tastefully renovated to an exceptional standard. There's everything we needed for a comfortable stay from a well equipped kitchen, outdoor seating area leading to a refreshing plunge pool, sunny 1st floor terrace with dining table seating up to eight & gas bbq for alfresco dining. All four spacious double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with large walk in showers. We didn't use the air con during our stay, which is built in to each room, but I'm sure this becomes a welcome option in the heat of summer. We did make full use of the wifi which worked well throughout the house. We loved Pollensa. It has a great feel to it and is full of character dominated by impressive blonde stone architecture, with the Tramuntana mountains as an attractive backdrop. It offers a more cultural experience than the touristy beach resorts, it is a friendly and welcoming place, enjoyed by both locals and visitors. The house is on a quiet street but it is only 2 minutes walk around the corner to the bustling main square with a host of authentically Mallorcan cafes and restaurants and selection of welcoming bars. We recommend trying the tasty tumbet at Onze, a stylist restaurant / wine bar in the main square. As we were in Mallorca for two weeks we hired a car so could explore other areas on the island which were all less than an hour drive away. We recommend day trips to Cap de Formentor, Palma, Soller, Valdemossa, Deia or Arta if you have the time. We visited the beaches at Porto Pollensa & Cala Sant Vicenc which are about 10 mins drive away as well as Alcudia which is also close by and worth visiting. We found parking easy as there's plenty of on road parking either on the street in front of the house or nearby, & free of charge. Don't park on the streets near the square (or in front of the house) on Saturday evening as stalls set up early on Sunday morning for the weekly Sunday market! The only minor negative of the holiday was the odd hungry mosquito when we'd forgotten to put on repellent! Overall we had a great holiday & would highly recommend this lovely house in a beautiful part of the Island - we're already missing our breakfasts on the sunny terrace. We'll definitely book again!
