 Situated off a country road, this villa in Mallorca invites you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Spanish countryside while within easy walking distance to the wealth of activities in the historic town of Pollensa.

With a stylish blend of rustic and modern décor, the villa boasts a welcoming ambience with high-quality furnishings throughout. An open-plan floor space makes it easy for everyone to spend time together – whether they’re cooking, relaxing on sofas in the lounge, or gathering around the dining table.

Four bedrooms and three bathrooms spread across two levels, sleeping eight guests in beautiful rooms with stunning views of the countryside. There are a writing desk and sofa on the landing too - perfect for stealing away for a nap or postcard writing.

French windows open to a massive terrace with patio seating overlooking an impressive pool surrounded by mountain views. You’ll also find a separate covered barbecue area with a fridge and sinks for group entertaining any time of day.

In town, enjoy local goods from over 300 stalls in the Placa Major’s Sunday market. Outdoorsy types will find numerous hiking, biking, and bird watching opportunities, and a stunning beach 6km away at Puerto Pollensa.

  • In late July each year, the Moors and Christians Festival takes place in Pollensa with a week of festivities culminating in the carnival on the 2nd of August. During this period visitors can expect loud music and celebrations into the night, especially on the 2nd of August

The property is located in the peaceful countryside, just a short distance from the historic town of Pollensa, and only a short drive to the beautiful bays of Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente.

Pollensa has everything you need for a beautiful holiday, situated inland from some of Spain's finest sand beaches.

The town itself centres around beautiful cobbled streets leading to a traditional church. Wander the roads that lead to the church to discover traditional outlets selling a range of foods, arts and crafts as well as cafes, restaurants and bars.

The highlight of the week is the authentic and traditional market that occurs every Sunday morning. Get there early to secure the freshest fruit, vegetables, meat and fish.

The Calvari steps provide the best view of the local area but are warned that to get to the top you have to climb 365 of them. However, the climb is worth it, and the views do not disappoint.

THE REGION

Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. The villa is a lovely place for kids to hang out - teenagers and older children will love having their own space, while children of all ages will love swimming in the pool. The outdoors area all good to run around and play, will ensure many fun evenings!

The house is a beautiful family retreat in a quiet location but close to so many fun things to do together as a family, from exploring beaches to having dinner in the old town of Pollensa.

The local area is ideal for those who want to get a bit more active, with invigorating coastal walks and cycling terrain that even the pros are challenged by. The island is excellent for horse-riding and water-sports, and for beach life, it’s pretty unbeatable too, with the golden sands of Port de Pollença and Cala Sant Vicenç well worth seeking out.

End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.

Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.

    Very comfortable house with beautiful garden and pool area. The shaded outdoor kitchen/dining/bbq area was particularly handy.

    Gran Casa Rostoya is situated in a rural, secure, quiet location, surrounded by small holdings and mountains. It is peaceful yet only a short 10 minute walk to the old town pollenca where you can find some lovely shops, restaurants and lovely old churches. The villa is equipped with everything you would need for a group or family holiday. It is enclosed so children are safe to roam, lovely trees of limes, pomegranate, almonds, pears and fig trees are in the beautiful kept grounds. A lovely pool and BBQ area outside. Inside 4 bedrooms, 2 of which are twin. I would recommend a car, if only to use to frequent the local lidl supermarket a few minutes drive away. A trip to puerto pollensa and the lovely beach is also worth a trip. I would not hesitate to recommend this rustic farmhouse villa for a relaxing group holiday.
