Villa Nahia is a stunning, three-bedroom townhouse situated in a prime location close to the attractions of Mallorca’s ancient town of Pollensa. Luxuriously restored and accommodating up to six guests in fabulous, five-star surroundings, this amazing holiday home offers guests the very best of both worlds: a sense of seclusion overlooked by the Tramuntana Mountains yet within walking distance of bars, shops and restaurants.

The villa’s design has perfected the blend of old and new, with an innovative architectural design that ensures the interior is flooded with gorgeous, natural light and pairs colourful artwork and beautifully crafted contemporary style furniture with traditional stone staircases and exposed ceiling beams.

Decorated throughout in light, neutral shades, the spacious ground floor features fresh, modern furnishings, including sumptuous orange and white sofas, a glass coffee table and a wood-burning stove - perfect for chillier evenings. Entertainment can be found in the form of a flatscreen TV and in the selection of books on the stylish bookshelf, so evenings spent indoors are cosy and comfortable with a real home-from-home vibe. Patio doors from the living room open out into a small courtyard, which provides a stunning space to relax or enjoy a morning cuppa.

Along a glass-fronted corridor which overlooks the courtyard, you’ll find the gorgeous open-plan kitchen/diner, with a dining table that offers views across the yard and a chic, modern, well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and stools and stylish integrated appliances. A white stone staircase curves upwards to the first floor and to the three spacious bedrooms, all decorated to the same high standard as the rest of the villa. There are two double bedrooms with gloriously comfortable double beds. One of the rooms features rustic wooden ceiling beams, and the other has elegant French doors offering beautiful views and a delightful dose of morning Mediterranean sunshine. The third bedroom is a twin room, ideal for younger guests although we wouldn’t recommend this property as suitable accommodation for very young children. The master bedroom benefits from an ensuite with a gorgeous sunken bath - the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. The other two bedrooms have modern ensuite and walk-in shower facilities.

Despite Villa Nahia’s central town location, it boasts a secluded hideaway in the shape of a charming rooftop terrace that features a private salt-water swimming pool. This beautiful space offers guests the ideal spot for indulging in an evening dip before reclining on a lounger and sipping a glass of something bubbly as you watch the sunset over the mountains.

Villa Nahia is ideally located in the heart of Pollensa - perfect for those who love to be close to the buzz of a lively town. You’re just a stone’s throw away from the ancient town’s famous central square, where you’ll find incredible bars and restaurants and some beautiful historic architecture and monuments. Highly regarded as one of Mallorca’s most attractive towns, with its winding cobbled lanes and historic buildings, Pollensa is a beautiful place to explore. Popular sites include the Roman bridge, ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa, a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town.

It’s worth noting that although the town is small and easy to explore, it can be steep and uneven in places, so good footwear is essential! Once suitably shod; however, you’ll find a vibrant mix of cultures that have influenced the town over thousands of years, including the medieval church and watchtower and the Calvari Steps, which lead from the Placa Major to the top of the town where you’ll discover the beautiful little Church of Nostra Senyora dels Angels. At midday, the light spills through the church’s gorgeous stained glass windows, which really is a sight to behold, but whatever time you visit, you’ll be rewarded with this stunning building’s intricate interior, as well as some incredible views over the town. The walk isn’t an easy one - with over 300 steps! - so this might be best avoided if you’re visiting with the kids.

On sundays, the main square is home to a bustling street market, where you’ll be able to purchase fresh local produce such as fruits and vegetables, bread, meats and olive oil, before heading to one of the many local bars or cafes for a hot coffee, refreshing juice, or a well-earned glass of delicious local wine.

Other town attractions include the lively battle reenactments that are held in August, as well as open-air concerts that makeup part of the Pollensa Music Festival during the summer months. If you happen to visit Pollensa in late July, you’ll be able to enjoy the festivities that surround the Moors and Christian Festival, a lively and vibrant event that culminates in a carnival on August 2nd.

THE REGION

Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Teens

Villa Nahia is an ultra-modern townhouse that is ideal for families with older children, but we don’t think it is suitable for very young guests due to the glass fittings and staircases across the storeys. However, Children will love the modern surroundings, luxurious lounge with satellite TV, and being ability to take a refreshing dip in the rooftop pool.

This beautiful family retreat in a quiet location is close to many fun things to do as a family in the town and surrounding areas, including golf, cycling, horse-riding, water sports and coastal walks, so you’re sure to find something to entertain and excite. Pollensa is a beautiful town to explore, with galleries and museums to enjoy and a bustling Sunday market selling toys, clothes, and arts and crafts.

If you and the kids fancy a day at the beach, a trip to nearby Puerto Pollensa is well worth the journey. Puerto Pollensa beach offers a range of family-friendly amenities, including umbrella hire and sun loungers, as well as an inflatable playground in the sea. This long and beautiful stretch of sand doesn’t get as busy as some of the other more touristy beaches, so you’re sure to find a quiet spot to build sandcastles or picnic with the kids. There are plenty of places to stop for light refreshments while you’re here, as well as restaurants offering dishes that will suit even the fussiest eaters - with the majority in the area having good-sized children’s menus. This charming former fishing village isn’t huge, with everything accessible on foot (so it shouldn’t be too tiring for the little ones!), and is much quieter than some of the other tourist hotspots.

Along the seafront, there are some good, shaded playgrounds that offer something a little different for the children after a day of sea and sand, as well as ice-cream parlours for a delicious afternoon treat. If you fancy doing something a little out-of-the-ordinary during your stay, we recommend taking the children on an excursion in a glass bottom boat to see the fish! There are plenty of these popular trips available in Puerto Pollensa, with some offering extras such as snorkelling or fishing - with lunch included!

  • Would definitely stay here again

Posted by Tony M. on 18/08/2019

We couldn't have asked for more with this villa. It had absolutely everything, and so close to the main square with the restaurants and bars, and a brilliant supermarket a stones throw away. The beds are the best we have ever had in rented accommodation, amazing. The only minus on this villa is that there is no parking nearby if you hire a car. But saying that, if you want a restful holiday you really don't need one. Love the picture in the bathroom in the back bedroom ;-) Would definitely stay here again
