Overview
This private, gated villa in Mallorca has architectural twists that make it a unique (and still dreamy) holiday destination. You’ll gravitate toward the curlicue pool in the garden, surrounded by palms. Or take a break on one of the three terraces - here you can barbecue, read, sip Mallorcan wine, and choose sun or shade as you please.
You’ll pass through archways to enter the double fronted villa, where stone walls and dark wood beams overhead make a statement. In the lounge a one-of-a-kind, low, vaulted ceiling makes the space around the fire intimate (perfect for a nightcap). Upstairs the bedrooms boast gorgeous views of the countryside - breathe deeply...this really is your villa holiday.
You’re oh-so close to Pollença (3.3 km), where there’s an excellent market Sunday mornings, and beautiful medieval streets to wander every day of the week. The nearest beach is at Puerto Pollença (9.3 km), where white sand surrounds the bay. For an oenophile's pleasure, the wineries of Mallorca are not to be missed! Called "The Galapagos of Wine", you'll find varietals here that don't grow anywhere else. Bring home a bottle (or more...definitely more) to Villa Madiera, and toast your good fortune!

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa MadeiraLocated in an idyllically quiet rural setting, this picturesque Mallorcan farmhouse is approached through double iron gates into a long and imposing driveway.
Pollença is an attractive town in north east Mallorca, in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains. With beautiful architecture to appreciate, such as the Calvari steps, the town is rich in history. Among its highlights are the ‘Pont Romà’, an ancient Roman bridge, the Mare de Deu dels Angels church with its famous rose window, and the Convent de Sant Domingo.
The neighbouring port, Puerto de Pollença, lies to the north and has one of the area’s best beaches, with numerous bars and restaurants to explore in the vicinity. Puerto de Pollença also offers water-sports, a water park for children, and a golf course can also be found just outside the town.
Also to the north of Pollença is Cala Sant Vicenc, one of Mallorca’s smaller resorts, and home to three beaches: Cala Molins, Cala Barques and Cala Clara. The landscape is dramatic and hilly, with rugged cliffs and rocks, and its popularity with visitors has seen it develop some excellent restaurants, tapas bars and useful amenities.
Further down the coast, Alcúdia has a large marina, serving as a boarding point for boat trips to Menorca and the Spanish mainland. The town is considered one of the most attractive in the area, so don’t miss out on seeing its historic centre, visiting the open-air market or seeing Spain’s smallest Roman amphitheatre.
Many beautiful places can be found in the areas further inland, such as the Natural Park S’Albufera, the largest of its kind in the Balearics. Pollença is easily accessible, with Palma de Mallorca Airport around 60km away.

THE REGION

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.
Kids

Just how we Like it
This is a very good, very well equipped holiday home. Quite remote, but to be honest we really liked this - shops are just a couple of minutes away by car, and it meant we had a great peaceful week. The Villa is very large - and the outside of the property is stunning as well.
