Overview

Pool Ideal for Kids

You can pick ripe olives from the trees and enjoy them with a luscious glass of wine at this secluded villa in Mallorca. Hidden among trees at the end of a long drive, here you’ll lounge all day by the L-shaped pool in the lawned garden, or sit in cool comfort in the shade of the terrace. Here you should relax - maid service and a welcome pack with your first day’s breakfast (including coffee and tea) are included with your stay.

Inside, this holiday villa retains its classic country style, with wooden beams overhead and rough stone walls in the living room. Floral tiling in the eat-in kitchen and bathrooms makes a pretty picture, while upgrades like the Jacuzzi tub keep you in comfort. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom, while the three remaining twin rooms share the two other bathrooms.

To get out on the town, head to Pollença (5 km), where you can gain a new perspective on the terrain from the 365 Calvary Steps, or discover little shops and restaurants along cobbled streets. For a day at the beach, Puerto Pollença (12 km) is it! Here white sands and blue seas await.

Villa Lationa is a large and luxurious rural holiday that offers visitors a great deal of privacy along with amazing views across some truly beautiful mountain countryside.

Pollença is an attractive town in north east Mallorca, in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains. With beautiful architecture to appreciate, such as the Calvari steps, the town is rich in history. Among its highlights are the ‘Pont Romà’, an ancient Roman bridge, the Mare de Deu dels Angels church with its famous rose window, and the Convent de Sant Domingo.

The neighbouring port, Puerto de Pollença, lies to the north and has one of the area’s best beaches, with numerous bars and restaurants to explore in the vicinity. Puerto de Pollença also offers water-sports, a water park for children, and a golf course can also be found just outside the town.

Also to the north of Pollença is Cala Sant Vicenc, one of Mallorca’s smaller resorts, and home to three beaches: Cala Molins, Cala Barques and Cala Clara. The landscape is dramatic and hilly, with rugged cliffs and rocks, and its popularity with visitors has seen it develop some excellent restaurants, tapas bars and useful amenities.

Further down the coast, Alcúdia has a large marina, serving as a boarding point for boat trips to Menorca and the Spanish mainland. The town is considered one of the most attractive in the area, so don’t miss out on seeing its historic centre, visiting the open-air market or seeing Spain’s smallest Roman amphitheatre.

Many beautiful places can be found in the areas further inland, such as the Natural Park S’Albufera, the largest of its kind in the Balearics. Pollença is easily accessible, with Palma de Mallorca Airport around 60km away.

THE REGION

Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.
