As you roll into the large driveway, you can’t help but appreciate the grand entrance, adorned with palm trees, pot plants and flowers of all kinds. Walk through the threshold and into the vast living space within, complete with a gorgeous fireplace. From cosy sofas surrounding the fire to various dining and seating options both inside and outside, and both covered and uncovered, you have the freedom to choose the ideal spot for relaxing. So whether its non-stop action or a glass of wine on the terrace you’re after, you’re guaranteed the space to indulge freely.

Next pass through the great hallway and into the kitchen, which is so large and well-equipped you’ll be desperate to don an apron and get creative with the freshest ingredients from the local markets, and rustle up a Mediterranean delight. And finally on the ground floor: the garden. Stepping out through the French doors on to the slightly elevated veranda, you encounter the vast lawn and pool areas, the great terrace and the fabulous surrounding landscape (and even your own fruit trees!). Allow the world to pass you by here as revel in the searing Balearic sun and admire the views, before cooling off in your private pool among the trees.

This beautifully traditional Spanish villa accommodates up to ten people in five individually-styled, bright, airy and simply wonderful bedrooms. On the ground-floor is the first double bedroom with a king-size bed and ensuite, and on the first-floor three more double bedrooms, two with ensuites, and one twin bedroom with a stunning terrace, and another bathroom with a shower and WC. A further terrace on this floor extends towards the back of the house with fabulous views over the garden and pool.

Pollensa is the picture perfect district of Mallorca, regarded as the cultural centre of the north of the island! When people picture Mallorca, they might not know it, but often what they’re picturing is Pollensa. Endless sandy beaches and roads lined with palm-trees set against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana mountain range. The diverse landscape, from fertile valleys to steep mountains and gently undulating hills and of course the beaches which seem to stretch endlessly to the horizon, is just one of the reasons that so many great artists have chosen to call this island home throughout the last century.

Just 2.5km away, the town of Pollensa itself will certainly provide your fill of authentic Spanish culture – 17th and 18th century houses, cobbled, winding streets and traditional markets every Sunday! Cafés, bars and restaurants are scattered in amongst traditional shops and large sections of the town are pedestrianised.

Top tip: the viewpoint from the Calvario is an absolute must, if you can manage the climb!
